“Unbleivable tasty dinner”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

Like all of the Gaucho's this Brazilian Steak House me all of our tasty needs. The salad bar was more than adequate and they came around with salmon to add to the salad, excellent. The meat was out of this world, the prime rib that they cut off the skewers and the sirloin was mouth watering. When they say all you can eat them mean it they came around as often as our card was green and showing with several other meat offers as well.

“Not sure what to expect, exceeded expectations”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

I was compelled to write this review, based on the wide range of reviews already posted. We dined at Gauchos a few times over the years, but this was our first visit back in about 2 years. We arrived about 5:30pm on a Thursday, the dining room had about 3 or 4 other parties seated. I'd say 4-5 more parties arrived over the next hour, which for the dining room size was a little quiet. The salad bar was excellent- very clean and fresh, with traditional garden salad options as well as some mixed vegetable salad options, cold meats, stuffed grape leaves, cheeses and fruit. We were disappointed to find out the wonderful cheese bread was no longer served, as the company that provided the bread went out of business. They did have crackers and bagel chips but anyone who's tried those warm cheese rolls knows there is no substitute.
The meats were outstanding. The gauchos were very pleasant and at most we waited 5 minutes for meat. Choices were prime rib, flank steak, top sirloin, short ribs, chicken drumsticks, filet and chicken each wrapped in bacon, pork roast, lamb, and sausage. There also was tableside salmon served but we declined. Each choice was cooked perfectly- so juicy and flavorful. We're not sure about the side dishes being buffet style instead of brought to the table by the server. The plantains, yucca fries and black beans & rice were outstanding. The buffet also had mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, vegetables, pasta, chicken and haddock. Of those additional choices we only sampled the sweet potatoes, very good.
Our server was friendly and very attentive. She seemed to appear the minute we needed a plate cleared, but never intruded. We view this place as a special occasion restaurant and would recommend to anyone who appreciates meat centered dining- no counting calories!

“Surprisingly Sumptuous steak and salads”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

The event was a 60 th birthday party for family member with friends and family from Boston and New Hampshire ranging in age from 8 to 60's. We arrived at 4pm on Saturday, just at the opening of the restaurant ( which was good since it allowed for some of us to park on street right near restaurant...no meters to fill late Saturdays..otherwise folks parked across the street). Two very long tables were set aside for our group in the back which gave us a lot of privacy. our waitress was delightful, respectful and extremely attentive to the needs of our group). She explained about how the meal was going tobe served....first our help yourself large selection of salad bar offerings, with written explanations of combinations we may not have been aware of. At least 25 dishes were available just on the salad bar . Many agreed we could have made a meal just of the salad bar ! There were also about 12 -15 side dishes available to complement the more to come meat offerings. ( if the sides are low, just let the waitress know. The kitchen continuously fills up the buffet servers). Now for the main courses. We were given coasters one side red the other green. When you wanted to sample a certain skewer, turn your coaster over to the green side. The gauchos continuously came to our tables with very large skewered meats just flame broiled and cut off whatever slices we wished...roasted lamb, sirloin, prime rib, flank steak, chicken wrapped in bacon, and delicious roasted extremely fresh salmon. (helpful hint. Tell your gaucho if you want a slice of meat more well done...they will make every effort to accommodate you) A lot of the guys in our party were meat eaters and pretty fussy about their cuts. Everyone just truly enjoyed their food and the meats continuously served by the gauchos. By the time we finished eating, including the birthday wishes sung by the gauchos and waitstaff, the restaurant was packed with people waiting to be served in spite of now a falling messy snow. Recommend you go early for the best service since ths place was filled by 7:30pm.

“DECENT FOOD, GOOD VALUE FOR LUNCH”
Reviewed December 25, 2013

For the price point at lunch, this is OK value. You can have the salad bar, which has cold and hot items (including pork, chicken, haddock) for $8.95. You can add on skewered meats (chicken, chicken leg, pork, flank steak, prime rib, sirloin) for another 6 dollars. The quality isn't exceptional but it is good enough. Not sure I would spring the 27.95 for dinner, given the level of quality. The dining room is pleasant...

“Love, love, love it!!”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

We tend to eat out regularly and have both been to some fantastic restaurants across the globe but yet Gauchos never fails to amaze me. I love dining here.

The service, the decor and of course the food and drink is all to high quality. Just wonderful.

Keep going Gauchos.
