“Wow!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

This must be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It is only 6 years old, and looks like new. The attitude of the staff is exceptional. Brenda, the General Manager, is on site from 0700, and has wonderful staff, from Michelle and the other girls on the desk, as well as Paul and the guys, to the incredible chef Vlad and the boys, and Laurie in particular who waits table - they are so friendly, helpful and just a joy to be around.

The room was excellent, with every facility. Business Center on 1st floor, free. Wifi in room free. The food was to die for! Breakfast, which was very inexpensive, had a wide range, including lots of fruit and Nancy made sure you had all you wanted. There are 2 pools, one in and one out.

A free shuttle bus will take you free anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel, and Fred the daytime driver and Mike at night are just great.

I can't recommend it too highly.

Room Tip: I would imagine they are all good

Stayed here because of its proximity to the stadium. It was pricier than a hotel on Manchester, New Hampshire probably should be, but the view of the ballpark was great and it was nice not to have a long walk after the game.

Hotel was a typical Hilton, nice but no character.

Thank you for your review, I am glad to hear you were able to take in a Fishercat game and found the location to be convenient. I am sorry you found the hotel to lack character. It was designed to compliment historical Manchester's Milyard. We hope you choose Hilton Garden Inn, Manchester for your accommodations the next time you attend a ball game. Again, thank you for taking the time to recognize us on Trip Advisor.

This Hilton G.I. is a safe pick, fairly new and rooms are in good condition. Have stayed here 2 times within the past month, and while it is very convenient to downtown Manchester (5 mins by car), nothing is within walking distance except the adjoining baseball stadium. Hotel does offer a local-area shuttle, have not used it as the bar/restaurant is adequate for a single night's dinner -- Tuscan Pizza is very good -- but avoid the restaurant breakfast, way-y-y overpriced. Room environments are too bright & too noisy for a good nights sleep, in part due to proximity to MHT airport. Maybe 50% chance I'll stay here next time I'm in-area for business, Hilton points help.

Thank you for choosing Hilton Garden Inn, Manchester. We know you have many choices in the area and we appreciate all feedback. I am sorry to hear your disappointment regarding the cost of breakfast, In the future please know that we have several packages which include breakfast in the room rate. These are cost effective ways in which to enjoy a hot cooked to order breakfast. Anyone at out Front Desk would be happy to detail these packages for you. Please do keep us in mind for your future travels to Manchester.

In response to the previous review I also heard the loud noise around 3am and hallway chatter Saturday July 16th after the high school baseball tournament. I also heard a couple of rooms open their doors and yell at the (young adults?) who were in the hall way. I do sympathise with the employees in this case as with only a small number of staff overnight this type of situation can be a be difficult to deal with. I also stayed Sunday night and the hotel was 100% quiet.

Most aspects of the hotel were 5/5, the front desk staff were excellent, the room was of great size and the bed was comfortable. The price I paid was a great value for the area and the location was 30 seconds from the highway. I docked points in 3 places: 4/5 for the Sleep Quality due to the noise issues Saturday night, 4/5 for cleanliness due to some black mold in the shower grout (30seconds and a spray bleach would fix this) and 4/5 for breakfast.

In terms of breakfast I wanted to provide a little more detail. The service, and the food that was cooked to order was fantastic. The special on Sunday morning (crepes with fruit) was also great. However the food that was pre cooked (eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries) was barely warm at best. I thought it may have been a fluke Sunday morning but Monday morning was the same. I didn't want to complain but I was going to mention it to the hostess on the way out (who seemed to love her job and be genuinely concerned that everyone enjoyed their meal) but she was busy with another table.

Overall, besides a few minor flaws I had an excellent experience and would stay again.

Thank you so much for your detailed review. We truly appreciate all feedback and suggestions and are always looking at how we can improve. It is wonderful to hear that you found our staff to be accommodating, I am very sorry about the noise you encountered during your first night. The overnight team certainly has their hands full when the hotel is at capacity especially with sports teams. Going forward, we are planning to have additional staff on during such events so that all of our guests are able to get a peaceful night's rest as they should. Again, thank you for taking the time to write about your experience and we hope to see you again!

If you need to be in Manchester NH this is place to stay...it is a a few minutes dive to the center of town and the Verizon Center but it over looks the baseball stadium of the minor league, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

A new property with nice sizes room, comfortable bedding, bathroom is nice size and was very clean...They have a restaurant but never was able to try it...Nice small bar. They have a nice patio that over looks left field so even when the team is not in town it is ejoyable to set out side.

Be ware of parking if the Fisher Cats are in town.

Hi,

Just got back from a weekend trip to Manchester, NH. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and loved it. The room was VERY clean which is super important for us. The facilities themselves were nice. We stayed in a room overlooking the baseball field which, if it hadn't been raining, would have been exciting to see a game. The fitness facility is small but nice, new machines. The pool was small but uncrowded. A shout out to Kevin at the front-desk who was super helpful and friendly. Finally, the hotel was perfectly located to downtown and the Verizon Arena. The hotel even arranged for a shuttle ride to the Arena for our show. Overall, a great experience. I would stay here again without a second thought.

I stayed here recently for business and the location was really great - within walking distance to several nice restaurants downtown. The hotel also has outside dining overlooking their minor league baseball stadium. I didn't eat there, but it looked really cool. The bed could use some updating, though. As other travelers mentioned, it seemd a little worn out. It has an adjustment for softness/hardness and I tried adjusting but it didn't seem to do anything. I ate breakfast at the hotel and it was very tasty. The scrambled eggs were actually seasoned really well, the bacon was crisp, and the breakfast potatoes were really tasty. The staff was really nice and they even have a shuttle that will take you downtown if you don't want to walk. Overall, a nice propety.

Room Tip: They have rooms overlooking the ballpark, I think - be sure to ask if you do/don't want one espe...
