You aren't likely to just stop by this place unless you are from the neighborhood. It isn't an easy place to locate since it is located in a residential area rather than a business district. I took the time to search it out because of a recommendation. It is pretty plan looking on the outside and the parking lot is pretty small, but it does appear that you can also park on the street. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but it is clean, comfortable and attractive inside. It was worth the search, definately a place that focuses on good old-fashioned comfort food.
Breakfast is served all day, with plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner specials. I went for lunch, well, a very late lunch. The menu is extensive but as they put it, "you won't find anything on the menu that you can't pronounce." I opted for one of the lunch specials.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. You do feel comfortable and in a place where most of the staff and customers know each other. The orders were taken quickly and the food served in the right amount of time. The food was well prepared, served hot and was very good. The meal are very inexpensive perhaps because they are not in a busy business district.
There are a lot of good places to eat in Manchester, but if you want a cozy down-home place to eat, it is worth searching out the Belmont Hall and Restaurant. Good food, good atmosphere, and good prices are all available here.
