Visited there this morning. Very sterile atmosphere, young waitstaff and no hostess. HUGE problem with the sun beating in the windows without any window treatment to alleviate the problem. We had to sit on one side at the booth, and we found others staying away from the front part of the restaurant, and some others even moving. Hasn't been open that long, but you think they would have addressed the issue by now. With all that said, the food was pretty good, but took a long time, although we went shortly after opening, and few people were there. Service was just so-so; we were only checked-on once, and it was late. The decor was nice, but not homey. Overall pretty good, but I'd go elsewhere.

Clean, Great New England Breakfast (REAL MAPLE SYRUP!), friendly staff, easy location and parking. Jersey invented the diner but this place out ranks many in the garden state. Great value and worth stopping in if driving through.

I recently had the chance to stop into Murphy's Diner for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the tremendous menu with some great selections, and the wonderful service that i got. I had a really hard time deciding what to order, but went with the irish omelet, which was terrific. Will definitely go back soon!!

We traveled up to Murphy's Diner on Elm St. in Manchester during the recent power outages after Hurricane Sandy; we were seeking shelter from the storm, as it were.
We were immediately greeted by a friendly member of the waitstaff upon arriving and told to "sit anywhere you like". We chose from one of several open booths and were promptly given menus and our waitress asked if we wanted coffee. A+ for prompt service with a smile.
The menu was expansive, traditional diner fare and was very reasonably priced. Only note here was they're a little lacking on the kids menu. That's fine as we generally share our breakfasts but might be an issue for families with more than one little guy.
Then food came out quickly, good presentation and well prepared. A good meal, especially for the price. Silverware, plates, glasses all matched the dining room -- very clean.
WiFi worked well and there are even outlets in some booths if you're planning on a long breakfast/lunch and need to get some work done.
We'll be back!
