We love F.L. Wright and this house! Good tour, very informative. The house is very small, but it's a must see.

gorgeous woodwork- all cypress, huge cantilevers on roof indicate steel must be used in structure. This is a very small house meticulously planned. I would love to live there except for small crowded dark interior kitchen. What is unique about the house is that all the original decor is intact, the Zimmermans left the house to the Currier museum with an endowment. Definitely worthwhile if you are a fan of architecture. You have to take bus from Currier museum and have reservations.

A combination tour of the Zimmerman house and visit to the Currier Museum made for an excellent day out. The Frank Lloyd Wright house shows off the simplicity of his Usonian lifestyle.

I was expecting to see a classic Frank Lloyd Wright home with cantilevered balconies, corner windows, and white surfaces. The Zimmerman House had none of these. You have to get your tickets at the Currier Art Museum to go on the tour.

The only Frank Lloyd Wright house you can tour in New Hampshire. Worth the detour if you are in the Manchester area. FLW's Usonian house is at the origin of all American bungalows. The volunteer guides are very diligent about the house: you reach the house by bus from the Currier Museum, you cannot touch anything --like in a museum--, you have to wear shoe covers, you cannot take pictures inside.
