It was so interesting to tour this house and learn why it was designed the way it was. We felt like we could live there!

“Incredible house, incredible tourgudes”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

If you are a FLW fan, you have to visit this house, the only one open for tours in New England. The house is amazing, clever, and fascinating. What i'm going to focus on is the mechanics of it, and the docents.

This isn't explained well when you get tickets (online at least) -- you meet at the museum and are driven to the house in a minivan. There is free parking, and your tour ticket gets you into the museum -- which is excellent, so leave time before or after to look around it's collections.

The docents on our tour were excellent. Concise, knowledgeable, and made you feel like you were getting a tour by the owners themselves. It wasn't rushed, but just right.

Just a great experience, and I'd say this house and tour impressed me even more than Fallingwater.

“Its a FLR design!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

People who want to see FLR designed houses will obviously want to see this one. The only negative point is that the house is small. The cost of the tour includes admission to the museum and a shuttle to the house, so it is a very good deal.

“Another FLW venue”
Reviewed June 30, 2012

I have been to many FLW properties throughout the USA, and although I found this interesting, I have to say it was not my favourite, being very narrow inside and confined. But it still showed signs of the master at work.

“Wright good experience”
Reviewed June 17, 2012

The house was interesting but not fascinating. The tour guides from the Currier Museum were very knowledgeable: architecture, Wright himself, and the neighborhood.
