Owner description: Museum dedicated to history and influence of the mills in Manchester.

The museum provides a glimpse of the history of Manchester beginning with Indian relics from 10,000 year ago and continuing through the first third of the 20th century. There is no audio tour and the signage provides only limited information about the exhibits. Few interactive exhibits are present. We did not find the current temporary exhibit especially interesting. All that said, the museum is worth a visit to get a sense of the importance of Manchester in the early Industrial Age.

This place was especially important to me because my grandparents both worked in the mill for many years. It was interesting to see what they did.

A little hard to find, but worth it! My wife and I love to get some of the local history when we travel, and what a mill town Manchester was! (also cigars, and shoes). We needed more time.

This museum is nicely designed and operated and makes for a good hour or so of learning how this mill town came into being from industrial, technological and social perspectives. Set in the middle of former mill buildings it makes for a good base to stroll around and experience the area's history. Combined with a visit to the Currier Museum -- preferably with a visit to the Currier's Zimmerman House scheduled -- it makes for part of a full day discovering a city that has more than you might have suspected.

Very informative, not only about the mill industry but also about the city's history. It was easy to navigate, offered interesting videos and a pleasant staff
