“a nice change of pace”
Reviewed May 21, 2009

i really like this place. i like the location (next to a XXXX bookstore and district court), the restaurant itself, and, most importantly, the food. the burritos are too big for my tastes and it is messy eating (sometimes). i love the quesadiillas (spelling??) . it is the right size and the right price. i usually eat there 3 times a week. one of the owners has an annoying habit of trying to anxiously take my NY Times BEFORE i've finished reading it. once, he fished it out of the trash...okay, i purposefully threw it out & he dove in and got it. yikes! but the food is great. i go every other day. great food & keep an eye on your paper...

“Great food, great price, casual dining”
Reviewed March 22, 2009

Don't let the walk up counter fool you. This is excellent Mexican food prepared to order in a casual setting that is relaxed and welcoming. We started out with the Tortilla Soup which was out of this world. Lots of flavor, with an interesting blending of spices and plenty of fresh homemade tortilla in it. My wife ordered her Pastor burrito Plate style, and it came with a generous portion of seasoned pork. I ordered my enchiladas with 2 beef and 1 chicken. The chicken was good but the beef was the best - savory chunks of shredded beef. The rice and beans were tasty and fresh. We passed on the Flan, as we were headed to La La's for dessert.

The restaurant also featured a wonderful selection of Mexican beers and had an assortment of sauces available for your food. Enchiladas also had the option of red, green or mole.

Other than the walk up counter, the atmosphere felt comfortable, welcoming and relaxed. Food was not quick nor thrown at you, like many pizza or sandwich shops. And it is a comfortable place to sit, have another drink, maybe a flan, and not feel rushed. We'll definitely be back, whether for an quick and easy lunch or a relaxed and casual dinner.

I'd really like to support this place as the owner is extremely nice, however the atmosphere isn't the greatest and the way food is served is like fast food. I guess it would be a good lunch place, but not dinner.

“A great addition downtown”
Reviewed October 21, 2008

This is a great addition to the downtown Manchester dining scene. It's not expensive, but the food is great. The portions are smaller, so I don't feel like I overate. Really friendly folks. Great Mexican sauces. Interesting drinks in the cooler. Definitely not the usual tex-mex fare. This is good, casual dining.

If you're not llloking for white linen tablecloths and a wine list, just a good meal from friendly folks, this is the place to be when you're downtown.
