FYI They only take reservations for parties of twelve or more.
Fratello's is one of my favorite restaurants in Manchester and I have been wanting to go back for weeks. We took some friends who also like Fratello's, on a Tuesday around 6 PM. We dropped the women off at the door and parked the car. While we were parking the women went inside and were immediately greeted and asked if the wanted to sit upstairs. They said sure and went up. When we came in we didn't see them and asked the young man at the door if they went upstairs and he said he didn't know. So we went up and found them. We normally sit downstairs, but we didn't think it was a big deal. The place was not busy at all, most tables downstairs and upstairs were empty.
Some of us ordered drinks and others had just water, no appetizers, just ordered our meals. Salads came out quickly and they were fine. We were served bread and butter plus a little seasoned oil. After the salads were cleared we just sat and talked and waited. Around 7 PM a man started playing music and singing and it was loud. I couldn't hear my friends talk when he was singing. At 7:20 I asked my friend if it was ever this slow for him and he said no this was the first time. At 7:30 we got our meals and they were not at all hot. It was obvious they had been sitting around at least ten minutes while we had been waiting. The food on the bottom of the plates was still warm but the top wasn't. The food was good, just not hot. Our waitress wasn't attentive. She never even asked us if we wanted refills on our water, more bread, or if everything was okay. It seemed to me she had other things on her mind.
We will give the place another try, but not for a while. I recommend sitting downstairs if you want to be able to talk. Also we never had bad service downstairs. Maybe we caught them on an off night or we just had a waitress who wasn't very good. I think it was both.

Got a tip from a local to come here for lunch. Went in and it was a large Italian restaurant, was a little past lunch so it was not that crowded. The waitress was extremely nice and professional, service was great. The food very reasonable were huge portions. Had a appetizer of arancini. Very good. Nice hot garlic bread also for free. I had a pressed french dip with roast beef and cheese, the roast beef could have been a little hotter but was very lean. Also we had an order of eggplant parm, one of the best we have ever had. The sauce was delicious. Great place would come back in a heartbeat.

We just attended a wedding at Fratello's restaurant in Manchester, NH in April 2013. The room was a great size, not too big and not too small, it felt cozy without feeling squishy. The couple not only had their reception here but were also married right in the room while we were all sitting at our asigned tables. It was decorated very simply but elegant and the dance floor area was small but worked for our group. The food was very good, they had a fabulous fruit/veggie/cheese reception with cash bar and a deli meat tray, which was plenty adequate and they also circulated around with additional yummy appetizers. When it came time for the meal, that was also terrific and yummy! Overall a great venue for a wedding with the lovely exposed brick walls, the ambience was just right for the occasion.

The food is always good as well as the service. They handled a small Christmas luncheon for us and did a great job.

Have visited this restaurant many times and had consistently good quality Italian food that is in accordance with the price. But you should not visit this restaurant if you're looking for a raucous good time at the bar with suds guzzled by younger people who pay more attention to the overhead screens than to each other. the restaurant is best for families who want to spend time talking to each other and enjoying a reasonably good Italian meal.
