CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! They keep the cabins amazing spotless, My wife and I appreciate this more than anything! The cabins are in the middle of the woods so you might expect spider webs, dust mites, etc. Not here. They make sure the up keep on their cabins are perfect. The sheets are super clean and just overall amazingly spotless. Get the camping feel with the combo of feeling super comfortable. They provide a charcoal gril which is a plus! I hate to leave such a good review as i dont want this hidden gem to become too well known, but they deserve the admiration. They have boat and kayaks for all the guests on their beautiful lake. Friendly owners and an amazing vibe. Get away and enjoy this amazing location.

Had an amazing family wedding weekend where we took over the entire property. Cabins are rustic but offer comfortable beds, full baths and relaxing porches. Loved the setting and our hosts were accommodating and friendly. All that we love about camping on one property.

Lovely cabin in a beautiful setting. Rustic - in the good sense - really clean and comfortable, pretty porch to sit on and watch the sunset, fireplace for the cool spring nights. Heard loons on the lake. Our dog loved this place. Lyme is a cute little town with an inn for a great dinner.

Growing up I would spend a week in a small two bedroom cabin with my grandparents at the Jack O'Lantern in Woodstock, NH. Being at the Loch Lyme Lodge brought back so many of those charming memories. So thankful this property has not realized a 'corporate buy-out' and the owners are dedicated and work hard to maintain this gem. It is modernized, clean and comfortable. No cable nor internet in the cabins. (Internet available on the premises, though). No electronics is so therapeutic and 'medicinal', but people seem to fail to realize that. Not having it was a definite pro, not a con.
The occasion which brought us to LLL was a wedding and it was an all weekend affair. We celebrated late in the season, so we were not able to enjoy the restaurant that has gotten so many wonderful reviews, but will return one day.
That being said, our cabin has a wonderful kitchen, fully equipped with all the necessities. The refrigerator was on when we arrived late Thursday night so after a six hour trip, our groceries went from the cooler to the frig without a hitch. Not that I wanted to cook, but between my husband, son and me, we actually had fun putting a few meals together in a 'new kitchen'. So charming.
The beds were comfortable and there were ample blankets to keep warm. The bathroom was clean and the towels were plentiful and of good quality.
We used the fireplace one evening to get the chill and dampness out and of course for ambiance. There was plenty of wood available supplied by the Lodge.
I had called a few times prior to arrival to inquire about the area or the lodge specifically and always had a friendly, helpful voice on the other end of the phone. That in itself was so welcoming we knew it was going to be a wonderful stay, which it was.
I can't really comment on the price; it is what it is. One can find hotels everywhere. The Loch Lyme Lodge is unique and special. If not for the dedication and hard work of the owners, memories would not be made here. There is internet in the barn and I am guilty of working a little bit over the weekend, just for a few catch ups here and there... what a structure and step back in time that building is.....
I noticed that a while back someone 'complained' about the cost... the property has boats/essentials to fully enjoy the lake at the guests' disposal. Recreational areas cost money; this is included. Our cabin was in the back across the street from the lake, so it was secluded and quiet. But a quick, scenic walk down the hill and across the street offered yet another experience to enjoy. Ample chairs and docks (and more cabins) and photo opportunities. A sweet beach for people and another for furry friends. Where can you find that??? It was awesome, just awesome.

Room tip: There are cabins right on the lake. The others are across the street, scattered throughout the driving area.

We stayed for two nights at this lovely Lodge, and will certainly return - the lake is fantastic, the cabins are cozy, the staff friendly, and the food delicious ! Our dog also enjoyed swimming at the dog beach. The grounds are also beautifully kept.
