“A long time favorite”

We always plan a stop at The Gypsy Café when visiting Lincoln. Delicious, eclectic menu which will satisfy adults, children, carnivores and vegetarians. Reservations are a must! Make sure to save room for dessert. The Pumpkin Crisp is to die for and don't bother to ask. The owner is sworn to secrecy for the recipe!

“Delightful Find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

Ate there twice in last four nights. Far above expected ski area restaurant. My group had the curry duck which was rare and tender with a hint or curry spice. Pumpkin pasta was perfect and hearty. Our waitress, Haley, guided us through selections and we loved all of them. Alligator tail with tartar sauce, Kung Pao shrimp, above average margaritas, lamb, all wonderful.

This place gets crazy in ski season so make reservations in advance. It is small, lively, and colorfully decorated with light, frivolous tiles and decor. Young kids might have a bit of a tough choice. It they have solid burgers which re local beef.

Parking is tight. Don't hesitate to part in lot directly across the street. Cars will stop to let you cross.

This place is good enough to eat at for multiple nights. Their specials changed this week between Thursday and Sunday. Prices very reasonable for the food quality.

We will go back; often.

“My favorite restaurant in Lincoln”

The admittedly eclectic menu swings from mediterranean to Mexican but seriously, everything is good and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is lively. Reservations really needed during high ski season and holidays.

“Great, healthy good, beer and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2014 via mobile

We had a delicious dinner after skiing all day. Wide variety of innovative, healthy choices, great beers. Reservations by phone fill up quickly during ski season, but we were able to sit at the bar. Friendly staff. All in all, a great dinner experience!

“Magical night at the Gypsy Cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2014

This was our second time at the Cafe. The food is excellent, high quality, tasty, and presentation was delightful. Our waitress was very good. The Tuna Salad hit the spot. The cosmopolitan was excellent -one of the best I have ever had.
The owner also does the artwork and his pieces are wonderful.
Thank you for a wonderful meal.
