The restaurant was very cozy and the people very nice. Had a great waiter. My husband had the salmon which he liked very much and I had the baked seafood casserole. The bread basket with banana bread was delicious. All in all would go back again.

The Common Man has the most amazing foods. My husband and I just went there a few weeks ago. We tried their Butternut Squash bisque and it was amazing. I could have had two bowls of that for dinner and have been satisfied! The staff is always nice, and the atmosphere is very romantic. The only issue that I have is, you need to call ahead for reservations, other wise you could get stuck with a long wait. Once we waited 1 hour, but it was very much worth it!

We stopped for dinner and were pleasantly surprised at the facilities. It's a casual place that feels a bit more upscale than it is. Service was good and so was the food.

Common Man in Lincoln must be very popular. We came early and othe the paring lot and the large dining room were full. The faux-rustic room fit the locale, and our waitress was enthusiastically friendly and was suitably attentive despite the crowd. However, the food was mostly uninspired. The only dish we would have again were the mussels that were served in an intense basil-garlic broth. The lobster-corn chowder was ordinary. Among the mains, the Portsmouth pie (a seafood pot pie) was tasty, but the New England Haddock Oscar was a disappointment—while the fish was properly cooked, the topping was thin and tasteless. Mains were nround $20.00. The portions were generous and we skipped dessert. The wine list was more limited than that of the chain’s web site appropriate for the restaurant—the best Chardonnay was Rodney Strong at $30.00.
