Decent ride thru nature with nice views of the river and mountains. Lots of children so if you have a problem with that, which I do not at all, then steer clear. Staff was very nice and the train ride was ok. I'd say definitely worth the cost and would return again.

While traveling through New England, I took my father (total train nut) and he absolutely loved the experience.

You don't get to see that many awe inspiring sights but it is great day trip. The lunch offered on the train was surprisingly very good.

It only takes about a hour or so but worth it!

We have been the hobo railroad several times now. The lunch is very good. Scenery is ok. The trip is well planned to keep kids busy. Prior to leaving the station kids can watch a short magic shoe and play in s large, well equipped outdoor play area. Onboard children color, have lunch and have a balloon creation made especially for them. We also went to the polar express ride this past Dec. The train car are nothing fancy. Everyone is given hot chocolate almost immediately and a candy. The ride is pretty short and uneventful. Elves greet the train and you are led up a short path to see a performance. ( not going to give everything away) back on the train for an even quicker ride back. Good for small children- the 2 and 6 yr old enjoyed it, but the 8 year old wasn't that impressed.( yes he still believes, but didn't quite believe that was the north pole) hint: have the kids sit on the side of the train that is away from the station.

This was an amazing experience - for both the kids and the adults! What a great surprise when we arrived at the North Pole and were greeted by so many elves! I can't believe all the nice touches they added... I have done the Polar Express elsewhere, didn't even come close to what we experienced here. It was magical!

We had a wonderful experience with the Polar Express out of Lincoln. An earlier review concerned me but our experience was great. The train was nicely decorated, the staff and volunteers were wonderful, the "North Pole" was picturesque with outbuildings including Santa's Workshop and the North Pole Post Office. Santa worked the whole theatre and our kids were enchanted! As the train pulled away Santa stood and waved and they had lights set up so he cast a giant shadow that was really neat. A great trip and well worth it!
