Went to a local show in December which was ok. Summer stock is better as they bring in some equity actors from NYC and Boston. Theater itself is excellent -- great sight lines from every seat, A/C, comfortable.

We were looking for something to do on Friday night in Lincoln and found the Papermill Theatre during my research for our trip. They were having a performance of “A Grand Night for Singing,” an evening of Rogers and Hammerstein music, and thought it would be perfect. It was a very enjoyable 2 hours.

If you do decide to go here, be sure to get specific directions. Since it was night time, and not being familiar with the area as we just arrived that afternoon, we had a hard time finding the theatre. You have to drive through a shopping center and we didn’t know which one as there are a lot off the main street. There was a small sandwich board on the sidewalk where to turn in, but never saw it as it was dark out and the sign wasn’t that big. The theatre is down and around to the back. You don’t see it from the street. We had driven too far and had to stop in a hotel to ask where to go. We got there with just 10 minutes to spare.

Vicki who works there, was very nice and friendly. For a fun night, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their performances.

Have seen a few shows here and the shows done in the summer are performed by college theater majors for the most part. Very good. Show is the winter not as good.
