Like a lot of us who grew up in the 70-80's, we always stopped at Clark's if we were in the mountains. The problem? The majority of my friends and I had to see the bears through the fence. My parents were too frugal to go in.
Now that I have a family, it was great to go inside for once. Excellent roadside family park. Family run, the Clark family has been showing bears since the 20's. Nice seating around a central "dome" so there were plenty of safe, good seats. Cute show which applies the focus on the bears performing tricks for food. Not bad work if you can get it. The circus also performs in the arena between bear shows. Amazing performances and well worth the time.
Take the train and get chased by the wolf man! Nice way to add something to the standard out and back train ride.
Good value, food was not that expensive and you can take your own picnic lunch inside!
The kids loved the bumper boats and I was able to climb to the top of the Old Man of the Mt (outdoor rock climb).
The Trading Post has lots of neat White Mountain themed items.
