The Basin is near exit 34 B off of I-93 in the White Mountain National Park. The Basin actually stands for a small but gushing basin pool. I didn't find that to be my main attraction. The same spot also has a great bike path, though short. It has access to several trailheads, one of which leads you up towards a bunch of boulders. You can step off the hiking trail and head to the left and you'll see the boulders. You can hike up the boulders instead of on the trail. The views are beautiful. There are small pools where you can get your feet wet. Along the boulders, you can set up a picnic. When I went, I saw a few families that had children slide down into the pools. Kind of like slip and slide. I have photos of that. It's a great place to go all seasons of the year.
The Basin is wheelchair accessible and there are porta-potties. Leave No Trace Policies apply; as-in whatever trash you bring, you have to take out with you.
