“Excellent Location”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

We had two - one bedroom units and stayed for a week in July 2013. One of the units did not have a full sized refrigerator. That same unit also did not have a closet in the bedroom or even a dressar to store your clothes. My daughter had to stack her clothes along the wall ledge. We were not very happy with this unit. The other unit did have a closet in the bedroom, along with a very large jacuzzi. It also had a full sized refrigerator. The only two things that I did not like about this room were the lighting (poor) and the inability to keep the unit at a comfortable temperature. The week we were there was very hot (in the upper 90's). The air conditioner is in the bedroom. In order to cool the livingroom area, you had to have the air on the coldest setting, at full volume. This resulted in the bedroom being freezing and the livingroom & bathroom being barely cool. The TV's in both units were the old kind and the one in the bedroom had poor reception. They really need to be upgraded to flat screen TVs. Both units were clean and I felt the housekeeping staff deserved high kudos for doing an excellent job! Towels could be swapped out daily during housekeeping hours. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

We didn't use the inside pool or fitness room. We did use the outside pool & hot tub. They needed some cleaning but overall, they weren't bad.

The best part of this resort is the location! It is at the beginning of the Kancamagus Hwy. There were many things to do both in Lincoln and Woodstock, as well as along the highway. It is an absolutely gorgeous part of the country!

Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and we would recommend South Mountain to friends.

Room Tip: Ask if they have any upgraded units with flat screen TV's. Also, try to get a unit with a close...

DATE OF STAY 03/01/13

Stayed at the South Mountain Resort on a recent trip to Loon Mtn. New Hampshire. The resort is located about a 5 minute drive from the South Peak entrance. I believe they have a shuttle that stops at the hotel as well. The hotel is upgrading all the rooms, so it is clean and the room we stayed in was a studio/king bed, with a kitchenette, with stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The is one of the larger rooms we have stayed in recently and it has recently been renovated. The hotel has upgraded their indoor pool. I don't believe there is a restaurant on site, but they do have complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. The staff at the hotel is very helpful. I would recommend staying at this hotel if in the Loon Mtn. area.

Room Tip: Check out the newly renovated rooms.

Stayed in a one bedroom with king bed and jacuzzi room, separate bathroom with shower, large living room and kitchen with essentials. Pullout couch in the living room. balcony was large though we didn't use it. Pool area was nice with a hot tub that is two-level. Not many shops left in village shops but peaked moon farm had fresh organic food, bookstore has a nice selection of local books, and price chopper and movie theater as well as many restaurants are within walking distance. No scheeduled activities, roomservice or daily housekeeping but they left enough towels for the days we were there and you could go to the houskeeping room to change towels if needed. Comfortable library/lounge area with coffee and wifi. Would be nice if they had wifi in the rooms but we just went down to the lobby area. Jessica at the fronbdesk was helpful and Jill at the bluegreen desk was helpful with local attraction advice, The resort is now bluegreen instead of innseason - they say posiive changes are coming.

Room Tip: We had a room onthe 2nd floor in the back of the building - easy access from the lobby and beautiful...

We were here one night before hiking in the Whites. The InnSeason was much nicer than the little motels we usually book, but we found a deal through Expedia and gave this a try. Easy to find, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Parking was complimentary and the hotel is conveniently located close to everything. Our only small complaint is that the ceilings were pretty thin, so we heard our neighbors walking around through the night.

As this was a trade through RCI sometimes can be not what we expect, BUT this one was a great place. Clean, friendly, and close to all we wanted to do. Clean towels daily even if you had to do it, not a big deal and never had anywhere else. We enjoyed the resort, and would recommend to all. Not a place o go and stay all week at but a place to be comfortable at. Then enjoy all the things around you.

Nice rooms with an easy access location. The staff were all great. Folks were really helpful with suggestions for what we might enjoy in the area. There are restaurants, laundry, and a grocery store in walking distance. The town of Lincoln was pretty quiet for an early morning stroll also. We really enjoyed out stay.

While the resort is nice, it lacks some of the basics that I would say are pretty much standard in a "resort" such as a restaurant, bar, or even a vending machine with food in it. No bell staff, but you are able to use a bell cart if you want one.
We were in a nice renovated suite. The room was beautiful. It was a one bedroom with a full bath with a shower and then another room with only a huge tub in it. It also had a full kitchen, equiped with pots, pans, and all the necessary items to make a meal.
Downsides of the room were that I found the bed extremely hard. The couch, while beautiful leather was a bit stiff to sit on as well. The bathroom was huge, but had only one towel bar. The bedroom did not have one air vent in it. You had to turn the AC wall unit in the living room down to freezing level and then turn the ceiling fan on in the bedroom to even make it cool in there. Just kind of a weird design.
The new hot tub is awesome! You have to go and try it if you are there.
I do have to say that the only staff member that made us feel like we were welcome there was the nice lady at checkout. All other staff we interacted with were grumpy and a bit put off that we were asking questions about the local area. Most times when we passed the front desk, they were on their cell phones or texting.
The nice room was not enough. I didn't feel welcome by the staff so I would not return. I felt like a room number, and not a person.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room. Only half of the rooms are renovated.
