We recently booked for 3 nights during a function in town. I reviewed all the reviews and pretty much had allot in common. The spa is located on a lake connected to a manufacturer. You can walk outside and downtown is not that far away. there is a nice coffee place not far away over a walking bridge. I was surprised the Inn didn't have more outside activities being on a lake. Upon arrival we were great with a smile. Explained the continental breakfast and the spa. The breakfast is continental but many choices; fresh watermelon, had boiled eggs, toast and even gluten free raisin bread and cereal to choose from. Get down before it closes at 10AM or you will get nothing. In was surprised at 9:50 the employees were cleaning up. The rooms are large and spacious. try and get a lake view with a balcony. We decided to use the spa which was very reasonable in price. There is also seating outside on the lawn and near the front door. there is a pool table, small pool and a gift store inside. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. The hotel is starting to show its age in some area's. Noticed the trash outside didn't get picked up to frequently. There is also a restaurant attached which I didn't try. You are 20 minutes from the Tilton outlets and a few minutes from the boat launch area's. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a lack view with a balcony or front patio.

Traveled to Lake Opechee with 7 women for 50th birthday and truly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodation's are great and the Inn's attached restaurant is a must for everyone to try. Spa staff very accommodating with our frequent changes to scheduling and Laura gave me one of the best facials with head and shoulder massage I have ever had. Wonderful, big and spacious rooms decorated beautifully, staff readily available to assist with any needs, great continental breakfast. I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: All rooms are large and comfortable

This was an amazing find, a gem hidden in the quiet town of Laconia. This adorable Inn is immaculate, with a lovely attention to every detail to make the guest feel pampered and at home. It is situated on the lake with beautiful views and easy access to the water for pets (yes they allow dogs!) There is a very large continental breakfast served each morning which is included in the price ...my children loved the indoor pool and the 'O' restaurant offered excellent cuisine. The rooms are large and well appointed. The most memorable feature is the kind and attentive staff, always offering a smile and eager to answer any request. Highly recommended if you are passing through town or just need a quiet reprieve and spa stay on the lake.

Room Tip: if you have a well behaved dog, they can stay with you in the Shaker style room :)

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel from July 24-26, 2014 and it was a great choice. The hotel is located in a good and quiet location even though it's surrounded by the major roads.
The hotel is very clean and has a lot of outdoor seating areas to relax by the lake.
The room was clean and even though we stayed in the "Enfield" room #125 which is a "dog-friendly" room, there was no smell and the room was well maintained. There was no view from the room since it's in the back of the building. It's better to get the room with the lake view (Our room was the only one left for that time frame so we had no choice)
I love coffee and was very pleased that this hotel offers a 24-hr keurig coffees and teas.
The hotel has a restaurant inside which is also open to the public. We ate there one night and the food and service was great.
There is a pool table in the hotel and a tiny indoor pool (I don't think anyone ever uses it) and a hot tub.
The room has a coffee maker, a fridge, iron board and iron, books to read, and menus to close-by restaurants. ....If you want to bring beer or wine to leave in the room fridge, don't forget the opener like we did. The front desk lend one to us though :)
...The bed was very comfortable...T.V. worked good and so did Wi-Fi in the room.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Lake Opechee Inn and Spa.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere in the front of the building overlooking the lake.

On the plus: Nicely located directly on the water in a great holiday area; hotel has atmosphere, our room (110) was spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable with an excellent lake view. Staff friendly and helpful - you feel that they want you to have a good time.
On the downside: Our bed was not comfortable - mattress sunk in towards the middle of the bed; may need to be replaced. Bathroom area could have been more user friendly (e.g. no hooks to put towels on or no mirror outside the bathroom).
Suggestion: A small beach area or an outside pool would make the hotel considerably more attractive.

Room Tip: rooms 108, 110 and 112 may have the best lake view; be aware that some rooms have only a limited lake view
