We just had a wonderful experience at the O'Steaks and Seafood restaurant! The starters were delicious and the steaks really great. In contrast to the last two reviews, the service was rather good, too. This might be due to the fact that the restaurant was half-empty. But still, our server was friendly and very prompt. Just the wine decanting (by the chef) was not very professional but that's a detail. Otherwise, we can highly recommend this place for extraordinary seafood and steaks at very reasonable prices!

I have dined there with my family many, many times and they were way off this past Labor Day Weekend. Normally we go as a big party 12+ and the service & food are right on. For that many people at one table, we normally have 2 servers assisting. Instead, we had one server and she had 3 or 4 other tables. Drinks took 20 minutes, appetizers took about 1/2 hour to come out after ordering. We had dirty plates on the table for about 25 minutes after finishing apps before I pulled the waitress aside to say something. She apologized and they cleared and refreshed our waters. After about another 15 minutes and tables that sat after us were getting their checks, I went to the chef (Scott) and complained which he said they were plating right now. The food was very good, only one steak under cooked but by that time, she was to hungry to send it back and ate around the center. The thing that bothered me so much was that we were there celebrating my in-laws birthdays, reminded the waitress of the cake when we got there and never got it. We also had two young girls at the table who didn't get served dinner until 9:45pm with an 8pm reservation. For that type of restaurant with those type of prices, it had us all leaving dissapointed. We don't mind paying and haven't in the past for a great experience which is why we go there. Tough to give them such a bad score but for this experience, they unfortunately deserve it. My family and I will go back but if they mess it up next time, we'll find someplace else.

Unfortunately, this restaurant hasn't figured out that without good service, even great food and a beautiful atmosphere cannot make for a good dining experience. Such was our experience on a recent weekend visit. Although the food was delicious, the bottom line was service sucked. As much as we'd like to go back, we can't justify waiting almost an hour for our food to be served after our order was taken. The wait would have been a little more bearable had our drink glasses been refilled, but again that required good service. The deserts looked good, but again after almost 2 1/2 hours, we weren't offered the opportunity and we probably would have had to wait another hour for it to be served. Too bad.....

We recently visited Lake Winnipesaukee and stumbled upon O Steaks and Seafood (part of Lake Opechee Inn and Spa). It looked impressive from the outside but we were unprepared for what awaited us inside. Having never heard of it, we were stunned by the beautiful decor and high-end menu. I ordered the Kobe beef burger (Kobe beef being my favorite) and my husband ordered a salad. Everything was very delicious. We will definitely stop in again on our next visit to the Lakes region. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any discerning travellers.
