“Another Wonderful Weekend at The Wentworth.....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2011

My husband and I have just returned home, recharged, from another wonderful weekend at The Wentworth. Being Innkeepers ourselves, we are very well aware of the necessary components of an excellent facility....and The Wentworth has it all.

The diningroom is superb. We ate there for breakfast three times and for dinner twice. Food and service is excellent and many of the staff are there year after year and always remember you as a returning guest.

Rooms are excellent and spotless, great beds, great bathrooms etc.

We went on the Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour and were very pleased with our entire weekend which was rounded out with lots of shopping in nearby North Conway.

HIGHLY recommend The Wentworth. Classy but not stuffy!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Wentworth for the second time. As in the past, the staff was very friendly and and helpful. In the evening after a day of shopping, when I requested a cup of tea, the bartender fixed a tray with a carafe of hot water and a tea cup and urged me to select some tea bags and take the whole thing back to the room so I could relax. The server at breakfast was very attentive and the food excellent. We selected a package that included the room and breakfast and you can't beat the price compared to other more expensive inns in the area. Will definitely return again.

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at the Wentworth in late November to celebrate my husband's birthday. This year we stayed in the Fairlawn and we had a great, romantic time! I love that dinner and breakfast was included in the "package" which was extremely reasonable considering our luxurious the accommodations. The whole Inn has an understated elegance. Love this place!

Room Tip: Stay at the Fairlawn suites.

My wife and I wanted a fully customized wedding weekend for all 150 of our guests. The Wentworth staff is second to none and provided impeccable service. Kathleen, Justin and so many more made sure that everyone was taken care of.
The food was amazing. When dealing with such a large group, sometimes the food and its presentation takes a back seat. Not here. Each plate was prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. Much like everything else they do at The Wentworth.
We returned for our one year anniversary and we pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine and cheese greeting us in our suite. The place is just amazing.

We have stayed several times at the Wentworth and at first it was wonderful. But the last few times we have found the room to be fine, but the food and offerings lacking. The chef has gotten so creative that the food no longer is appealing. We were in the bar area and the owner, Fritz spoke to everyone around us, but didn't even stop to say hello. I wasn't expecting a long conversation as he had with other people, but we were spending money there and I expected him to at least acknowledge us by saying at least 'welcome'. Our stay before this time at New Years Eve was so lackluster, they had a dress code but the music and set up was more for a town bar and grill, rather than the upscale property it was. This last stay for Thanksgiving was so disappointing, that we will not return.

Room Tip: do not book the least expensive rooms. They are not worth it. You are better off booking either th...

Thank you for your review and I apologize that you were not fully satisfied this past stay. Both Fritz and I are very dedicated to our hotel and value any interaction with our guests and Fritz would like to apologize for missing speaking with you this trip. We are always on property and Fritz usually visits each table in the dining room to speak with his guests but that particular evening he was sitting with some friends and it got very late and had to go eat dinner before the kitchen closed. I also am sorry that you do not enjoy our food any more - our Chef has been with us for almost seven years and the feedback we receive overall is very positive, people in general love our food and both Fritz and I are very proud of our dining room. Regarding the band for New Years Eve, I do agree. They have played for ten years with us now, the first year they helped us out at the very last minute and we were very grateful for that and continued to employ them. We did decide that last year would be their last and have hired a fabulous, high energy band from Boston and I think it will be a great New Years Eve party.
Thank you again for your feedback and I do sincerely hope that you will give us another chance in the future.
Sincerely, Ellie Koeppel. Owner and Manager

This was our third or fourth year in a row that we stayed at The Wentworth in November to celebrate my husband's birthday. As always, we had a wonderful time. We stayed in a room in the Fairlawn building - beautiful clean and well-maintained room, extra sitting room, outside jacuzzi, and three flat screen tv's - what's not to love. The breakfast and dinners were great but the service was outstanding. We had the same server for dinner for the first two nights, Jo Jo, who was excellent. Actually, on the third night, she was not our server but still stopped by to say hello and see how we were doing. We love going to The Wentworth and always look forward to our next visit. I would highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: The Fairlawn Building is across the street and newer, so I think the rooms are a little larger.

We always love coming to the wentworth inn. We love jackson and is our favorite getaway from our hectic lives in Boston. The food is always excellent, rooms beautiful and the staff is always a pleasure. Even when we dont stay here we always make it a point to eat dinner here at least once , and we love stopping by the bar for drinks with Tony. I would recommend coming in the winter which is my favorite time at the inn because of the traditional swiss fondue which is AMAZING!!! , and the outdoor hottub. Overall it is always a great expierence.
