My family stayed here for 3 nights in Aug-Sept, 2013. This was the first time we stayed in a historic inn and the ambience was great! We stayed in a 2 double mountain view room with my husband and two teenage daughters. The washroom was a bit small but clean. The television is small and old and we hardly used it. We were on the top floor and it was a bit of a challenge to get our luggage to the 3rd floor-they have an old elevator and we used it just once while moving with our luggage. The beds were comfy but squeeked with every move. There were two nice chairs in the room. The free internet worked well. The window A/C worked well but made some noise at night. The hotel was almost booked out in the labour day long weekend and we had a tough time to find a parking spot late at night.

Overall, it was a good experience of the White Mountain area and would recommend the hotel.

We had breakfast one morning at the restaurant and the food was good.

Room Tip: Mountain view room

We stayed at Eagle Mountain Inn on our first night in New Hampshire. Having never stayed at a historic hotel such as this one, I was very pleasantly surprised.

The hotel itself is beautifully situated between nature. It has a great veranda and very interesting lobby; there is a room adjoined to the main lobby with board games and a piano which was my personal favourite. There's also complimentary tea and coffee by the front desk and easy access to every floor, the restaurant, and the game room.

The rooms open with a key and have very comfortable beds that do creak, but it's because of the age so it was expected. The restaurants breakfast buffet was the BEST. They have everything and it's all very delicious.

One thing did stand out to me more than everything else however, which was all the stories we heard about the hotel being 'haunted'. It's expected with any 'old' hotel, so I didn't really mind but I found it very cool and not at all frightening. My main point with mentioning this was that if any guests do hear about it, which does happen, don't freak out but rather enjoy the history behind the hotel. There were SO many children at the hotel my age and my sister's age that it was some of the most fun I've have at a hotel. The stories barely affected that at all.

Eagle Mountain House is a great hotel, historically beautiful, and has great service and amenities. I'd definitely recommend it on your trip to Jackson, New Hampshire.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor were great.

We had a pleasant two night stay. The room had a large bedroom and a seperate living room with a queen size pull out sofa bed. The bathroom was completely renovated and spotless! The linens on the bed were very nice. The mattress was very comfy, but the box spring squeeked with every move. We loved the charm of this Inn and the views from the front porch were very nice. We enjoyed a nice dinner on the Veranda. Our two children enjoyed the pool and playing Ping Pong. They said the pull out sofa bed was very comfy. It was nice to have a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks in. My husband and I enjoyed cocktails while rocking in the rockers on the beautiful front porch overlooking the golf course. The location was good , short ride to all the attractions.breakfast is served only as a buffet. I wish they had a menu too, because we don't like large breakfasts. Overall I would recommend this place for short stays.

We spent 3 days at Eagle Mountain House in late Aug, 2013. I loved the historic hotel and the big wrap around porch with the rocking chairs was a favorite. It's not modern so if you are looking for a cushy bed, forget it. The beds are adequate and the TVs are old. Still, you can't beat the wrap around view of the mountains. The Falls with swimming right down the road are beautiful and family friendly. This is also a pet friendly hotel. We saw lots of families with multiple generations and the young kids seemed to be having a fine time at the swimming pool or playing kids golf. There was a golf course for the adults plus a fitness club. Don't eat on the veranda in late Aug. The food has to come a long way and it's cold by the time that it gets to you. I think that the food is okay if you eat in the dining room or the sports bar. However, there are lots of restaurants nearby that are less expensive. I would go back to Eagle Rest in a heartbeat for the historic atmosphere of the hotel and the view. It's very relaxing and all the families seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Room Tip: We had M6 as our room. It was at the back of the main level and we had two double beds. It didn...

We just returned from a weekend stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Friendly staff and guests. Our five year old son loved the bonfire and game room. Outstanding food at the restaurant. The location is ideal with Jackson Falls so close and everything else the area has to offer. If you are looking for someplace modern and fast-paced this is not the place for you. But if you enjoy a more laid back pace in a historic setting then you will enjoy it.

This hotel offers a rustic view and atmosphere. Our room was a bit tight but it was clean and functional. We were there 3 nights and that was plenty. Not much to do at the hotel, so you have to plan your evenings beforehand. The restaurant was good and had homemade breads and muffins. Across the street was a 9 hole golf course which seemed challenging. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Stay on the lower floors (3 or below). The elevator is slow and small (as expected).
