Been going here twice a year since they opened and always loved the food, service and atmosphere. Prices too are really good for the quality of food. Only complaint is they took the wood fire meatloaf off the menu. That was always my favorite. Oh well they have lots of other great items.

“Great dinner, VERY family friendly!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2009

Took the wife and 3 young kids here for dinner after long day out and about. We were delighted with the food, service, prices, and selection. This place has gone above and beyond to help families with young children to keep their sanity. There's a toy room and a movie room the kids can go to while waiting for a table. Ribs, pork chops, pizza and kids meals were excellent. Reasonably priced, we had a table appetizer, salads, beers, entrees and desert for under $100. Would definitely return for dinner, might try the breakfast if we're in the area later this week.

“Restaurant of 2 halves.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2009

My reviews of this restaurant are 100% contradictory. Dinner is fab. Breakfast is awful

We had dinner there on 2 occasions during our stay in Nordic Resort. We ate in the Sports Bar - which was bright, buzzy and exciting. We had nachos to share with guacolmole - fantastic. We had pizza, 2 burgers and scallops. All 4 entrees were cooked to perfection and we loved every bite. We shared a few desserts. Desserts were large and delicious. We also had a few glasses of wine and beer. The bill was $100 or so. Brilliant value.

Next night was similar - food was as good and the services was excellent.

On Sunday morning we saw a sign advertising Buffet Brunch from 7am to 1pm for $7.95. We were so excited - as we knew the food was so good here. We went there at midday and 2 of us were seated while the other 2 went to get the food. I noticed the dining room was almost empty. I started helping myself to food and I noted the choice was terrible - about 4 different kinds of eggs, several kinds of potatoes (home fries, with bits of corned beef and with apple). At the end was a tiny side table where a guy carved slivers of ham (it was like a small joint and it was nearly gone) and he put 1 piece of bacon on your plate too. He was a bit put out when asked for another piece (there was no meat there at all). There was also another table cooking even more eggs. I noticed that my food looked a bit odd - when I tasted a piece of egg I discovered it was 100% stone cold. We all tasted various bits and the entire breakfast was cold. I dont mean warm - I mean COLD. It must have sat there for hours. A waitress overheard us and came running in lighting burners under the food. I was horrified. We dropped our plates, told our waitress that we were leaving and told her why. She was not too happy. Apart from rotten choice of food (egg and potato) - the food looked so awful and it was downright dangerous to reheat large quantities of food like that. Such a shame

“Great food and great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2009

Our server was fantastic and got us into a great mood as soon as we were seated. We asked her what she recommended and she launched into animated descriptions of many menu options. Members of our group enjoyed the mussles appetizer, onion rings appetizer, and large house salads. We also enjoyed the ribs, prime rib, and a steak. My preschoolers gave thumbs up to the mac-n-cheese. We didn't realize how huge the restaurant was until it was tiem to leave - there seemed to be at least 4 seperate large dining rooms. We also noticed a movie watching and face painting areas for families waiting to be seated (or maybe taking a break). I would definitely return on another visit to the area.

After having several not so good meals on our trip I can't even tell you how excited we were to have not only a good meal but a fantastic one. Wished we had tried the sunday brunch-next time for sure.
