The inside of this restaurant is just OK. . . . nothing special. But don't let that fool you. The food is outstanding! Our waiter Joe was a "foody" himself and was very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. He said any of the wood-fired dishes were excellent. Since this was our first visit he highly recommended the pot roast. My husband and I ordered house salads and the pot roast. The salads had mixed greens with sunflower seeds, tomatoes, and currants with house dressing. Excellent. The pot roast was the best we had ever had. Talk about comfort food. . . . we were in heaven! The potatoes were excellent and the squash was seasoned to perfection.
It was so good we came back for dinner two days later. We ordered the spinach parmesan dip appetizer which Joe had recommended two days earlier. It was delicious! Bad part was there was way more than the two of us could eat and since we were on vacation we had no way to take the leftovers home. For dinner my husband had the hanger steak and I had a pasta dish which contained shrimp and chicken and was on the special of the day menu. We both thought our meals were excellent. Prices seemed very reasonable for the excellent food served.
