“Good food and great service at the Tavern”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

My husband and I spent a nice couple of hours at the Wildcat Inn and Tavern. We stayed across the street within walking distance. We were hoping that we would get lucky and stumble upon a hidden gem and we did! The food and service was great. The atmosphere is very much apre's ski and we will definitely go back. James was our server and he was very attentive and pleasant.

We Stayed in this charming Inn, with friendly staff for the weekend and enjoyed it so much we plan on going back time and time again. The food was so good. You can order your breakfast off a menu with so many yummy choices it is so hard to choose. The rooms was so
beautiful with a view of the mountains. We got a great night sleep and enjoyed the skiing.
The best part is that you can park your car for the weekend and never need it. The shovel Handle pub was so great for dinner. We will be back.
Thank You!
Very warm and cozy!!!

Expect an old building with outdated utilities. The heat doesn't work properly (full on blasting heat or full off freezing). The water pressure is nonexistent and we literally had a dripping shower. We waited 20 minutes before receiving a menu at the restaurant and were told by the waitress that she was the only one working. To many, the old building and historic structure is part of the charm and preserving the eclectic atmosphere may be important to them. Personally, I prefer old world charm with new world amenities and service.

Decided to go to the Wildcat Inn for dinner but came too early so we went into the tavern for a drink and appetizers and it was great!! Perfect atmosphere, great food, and our waitress Linda was extremely friendly and welcoming! :)

We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere at the Wildcat--easily accommodated us and our boxer in a great third floor room. There's is nothing uptight about this place--my husband and I don't really enjoy uber expensive, lots o' lace B&Bs that require guests to chat it up with total strangers at breakfast. We also ate at the Tavern all three nights of our stay--excellent crab cake sliders and lobster mac n' cheese.

Room Tip: Inn room #9 (third floor) was dog friendly with a gas fireplace (controlled by a room thermostat...

This was our second trip to the inn and it was wonderful. We actually stayed over the summer and got married just down the street at the Jackson Falls, such a beautiful place!! This time we came up for the skiing. The inn is fabulous and everyone is so friendly accomadating. James, the bartender in the tavern, actually remembered us from our stay over the summer!! Food, service, accomadations...just everything is great. We will be coming back for another ski trip (or two) this winter and for our anniversary this summer.
