“Beautiful...will return again”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

This place was amazing...for the price and for the area, we absolutely loved it...here are our pros and cons:

PROS:
The meals (on a scale of 1-10...the dinners and breakfasts get a 12!)
Rooms were nice and roomy
Scenery in the Jackson area was beautiful
The workers were all VERY friendly, helpful, and assertive to meet needs
The fire at night is a nice touch
Rooms were immaculate and well cleaned
Property was well groomed and landscaped beautifully
Free wi-fi was an unexpected plus

CONS:
-The room we stayed in the salt box had water damage on the ceilings which caused paint to be peeling (a bit unsightly)
-The paint on the exterior of the main building was peeling significantly
-The patrons were really noisy going in and out the Salt Box, which annoyed us to death at 6:30 AM with our room right at the door way of the building. (Perhaps a better door on our room, or signs telling people to be quiet going in and out the halls would be helpful)

That being said...this place is definitely a can't miss and we loved it. It has perfect NE rustic/country feel/charm to it. It was very well priced and you will absolutely not want to miss the dining for both dinner and breakfast. It is obvious that it is very family friendly as well, which got us thinking about a trip there with our whole family, not just us. Thanks so much for the stay...we will definitely be coming back again!

We stayed in a large, bright end room in the carriage house, but, found unsightly water damage at the base of the shower, a dribbley shower head (which I fixed) non working bath fan, wallpaper beginning to peel at edges and a whirlpool tub that blasted out grey gunk. There were cobwebs on the sprinkler heads and a dessicated cheese stick under the edge of the bed. Inexperienced waitstaff "forgot" to put-in our order at breakfast then "forgot" my 7 y.o. daughters entire meal. The hot tub and indoor and outdoor pools were a welcome respite after our days of activity and the buildings and grounds are lovely. The Innkeepers were were charming and ingratiating as were the majority of the staff. But, with the room rates CFI&S charges one expects a higher lever of accommodations.

Room Tip: The room(s) on the end(s) of the carriage have additional windows making them very bright and cheery

I have so many good things to say about The Christmas Farm Inn that I'm not sure where to start.

The grounds are pretty and well-maintained. There is the main building that offers accomodations. There are other buildings and cabins on the property that gives guests many accomodation options to choose from. We stayed in the Carriage House that houses the Aveda spa on the lower level and if I'm not mistaken, the rest of the Carriage House has a total of 12 suites that each contain a king size bed and separate living room area with two arm chairs and a sofa that has a pull-out bed. There's a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, flat screen TV and another TV across from the king size bed. The bathroom is also quite large and has a jacuzzi and separate shower stall. Well-appointed rooms that are very clean. Our housekeeper even left us a handwritten note welcoming us. We had planned to stay for 5 nights and had other accomodations booked for the rest of our trip, but once we walked in, we cancelled our other reservations and extended our stay here.

A full hot breakfast is INCLUDED with your stay. This is not a typical continental breakfast that other hotels or inns may offer you. Some choices, that are made to order by the way, are eggs benedict, 3 egg omelets (meat lovers, western, vegetarian), 1 or 2 egg american breakfast with ham, bacon or sausage, fluffy belgian waffles with strawberries and fresh cream. Plus, there is a cereal and fresh fruit buffet table that you can indulge in while you wait for your hot breakfast. The servers are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable as is the rest of the staff. They really work hard at making your stay enjoyable. The inn's restaurant is also open for dinner. We had dinner on their Italian night. We ordered the dinner for two and the kids ordered off the kids' menu. The entrees were generous and the "pièce de résistance" was their signature Chocolate Bag for dessert. It is literally a bag made out of chocolate and it contains a brownie, vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream. Decadent and so delicious. It was big enough for the four of us to enjoy.

This is a family-friendly inn. They have an outdoor pool, cabana and playground across from the main building. There is also a heated indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room with lovely bathrooms, showers and change area. Each night one of the innkeepers starts a beautiful fire in their stone firepit that is surrounded by comfy Adirondack chairs. It stays lit until 10 p.m.

Thank you to innkeepers Sandra and Gary for such a memorable stay. Best regards to their staff, in particular to Kathy, Michelle, Terry and Corinne.

We have already recommended the inn to a couple that my husband works with who will be visiting the area in the next few weeks.

Room Tip: The carriage house is lovely and set a bit further away from main inn so it seemed quieter. We'v...

We discovered this place a few years back. It is a yearly get away for our anniversary. The staff is super nice. The rooms are extremely clean. The spa is TOP NOTCH. I was recently there this summer and had an opportunity to meet all of the spa staff for different procedures. THEY WERE ALL EXCELLANT.. I was totally out of my comfort zone and they made me feel right at
home and at ease. During the winter is when we usually book . It is simply magical and romantic. However, we were going to be near by this summer and couldn't pass up an opportunity to see our favorite spa people. I have been to a few different spa's in different countries, here and on cruise ships.. This is THE BEST one by far.

Lovely little quaint complex! Food was great as was the service. Free cookies and coffee nice touch. Accomadation is a bit far out, you have to drive to most places. But overall nice place to stay.the facilities were reasonable. Maple syrup was yummy. I expect it will be magical in the winter and at Christmas!!

We had a lovely stay at the Christmas Farm Inn last week, and booked a return trip for September as soon as we got back. It is a lovely property, but more than that, the staff is just wonderful -- helpful and friendly. Our housekeeper, Ann, left us a handwritten note each day, as well as a bottle of wine! Those kinds of little touches really make a difference. Our server, Kathy, was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was delicious -- we checked other restaurants in the area, but since our meal on the first night was so goo, we decided to eat at the restaurant the following night, as well. We got a chance to use the two pools and the jacuzzi, although we never got around to using the jacuzzi in our room -- next time! Just a short walk down the street, there is also a lovely brook and waterfall that is a great spot for a picnic and dip in the fresh cool water. Looking forward to our next visit!
