“A Stay Long Overdue!”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

My Husband & I stayed @ CFI almost 13 yrs ago; it was a "Christmas" gift from my former boss & The Tolley's had just taken the reins. While it was a nice stay & we enjoyed, it was always, "if we go back fine, if we don't fine". This past January I saw a good deal through Groupon for CFI & decided to revisit their web site & we liked what we saw and booked. Last month we were given a 2 night getaway which we used 3/3-3/5/13. Our Rm was CH10 (Carriage House) a mini suite & it was Lovely! We had dinner in the pub & the food was excellent. We also had later evening cocktails in the pub & got to meet & know Gary Plourde & Cookie! He is such an interesting man! On the day we were to leave, I awoke with a stomach virus & knew I couldn't travel 4 1/2 hrs home so my husband asked to re-book the suite. The Plourdes & staff were very kind. The next day when we cked out they told us they gave us a reduced rate on the room & included breakfast! I was so surprised by this, we never expected to be given this consideration! Even before getting sick, I was so happy that we decided to return & now even more so! Thank You, Gary, Sandy, Colleen, Kathy, Inga, Deb, Lois & Cindy & to all who are behind the scene that we didn't have the pleasure of meeting (like whoever took care of our room :-) )! See You in July!

This review is a little late....But had to write about how great this place is. We stayed there in December for the Polar Express event. From the moment we got there it was magical. When we got to our room there waiting for my daughter was the Polar Express bell and invitation. My daughter was truly excited. The room was perfect..and quiet..we didn't hear a peep from anyone in any other room, which is very important to me! We had dinner that night in the barn with Mrs. Claus. It exceeded our expectations! When you walk into the barn you are greeted by friendly staff who looks for your name on the Christmas card in the tree I the foyer and like you to your table. On the table was a Christmas ornament with your name on it. The room was decorated beautifully and there was a person singing songs..the whole atmosphere got us into the spirit of Christmas. The food that was served was just delicious....buffet style. And the desserts were to die for. Mrs. Claus comes and reads a book for the children and then poses for pictures with each child. She gives them each the book she read and another present. The next day your on your own for the day ...you can sit in the cozy living room with the fireplace (there's an adjoining room for kids to play games or watch t.v.). We went into Conway were there were shops, etc. That night we did the Polar Express event. It was awesome. We came back to the Inn sat around the fireplace with a glass of wine and just relaxed. The staff was so wonderful. They let us sit there and hang out...after they went home for the night...only asking us to clean up after ourselves and shut the lights off. We had dinner and breakfast there as well. The food was delicious and the dining room was very comfy. Everyone there was so accommodating and nice...we were sad to leave...but will return! Thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this comprehensive review, we are truly grateful for your recommendation and sharing your experience. We are practically living and breathing Polar Express in the run up to Christmas, the whole team gets involved and enjoys it. We already sold over 100 tix for this year and are currently operating a wait list. Most bookings so far are from return guests; this is the greatest compliment of all.

All the best,

My boyfriend and I just got back from a long weekend at The Christmas Farm Inn. I was weary about staying at a place I had just found over the internet, but when we arrived we were not disappointed. The location is great! Just far enough away from the hustle n bustle of Conway to relax. The staff, from the check-in counter to the pool house, were always cheerful and attentive. The Pub was a cozy place to grab drinks before dinner (even met another couple from CT) and both of our meals from the Inn's restaurant were excellent! Our stay in Carriage House (Rm 3) was more than comfortable. Being a corner suite it had more windows, which was a plus. The large whirlpool tub, fireplace, and private deck off of the room made getting snowed in on our last night even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Just spent 2 nights at the Christmas Farm Inn and Spa and it was awesome! Great attention to detail and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We stayed in one of the rooms in the Saltbox. The room was incredibly homey and spacious! Breakfast was delicious and the pub is adorable! We went snowshoeing while we were there which is right around the corner. The spa is also terrific! Mary gave me a fantastic facial!! I will definitely come back!

Spent 2 relaxing days last fall. Very comfortable rooms, great breakfast, the best beef stew in the little pub. Most importantly, every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. We're returning in the spring.

Room Tip: The suites in the Carriage House were quiet and just up a path from the pool and very well equipped...

We visited the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa twice in 2012. Our first stay was in the summer. We arrived at the end of August. The grounds and garden were beautiful and lovely to explore. We enjoyed coming back from our days activities to a nice fire outside and the opportunity to make S'mores. We stayed in the "Dasher" room which is in the main inn. Because we are a family with a baby it was nice to be in the same building as the restaurant. This was beneficial during our second stay which was in December. The room itself is large enough with two beds, a fireplace, large closet and clean bathroom.

The pool and hot tub were wonderful and the meals yummy. Breakfast included nice home made baked items that changed from day to day. What we liked most were the super service and wonderful staff. We felt as if we were visiting family.

Our second stay in December was to attend the Polar Express. We attended the Polar Express in the past through a different property. The Christmas Farm Inn went above our expectations to make the weekend a magical memory that the whole family will share for years to come.

Visiting twice gave us the opportunity to find out that each stay is more special than the last. It is an Inn where everyone from the people who clean your room to the Inn Keepers greet you with a special kind of warmth that puts a smile on your face.

The Inn itself is so rich in history that you can't help but feel its past. However it is so well appointed with many options, a great fitness center, wonderful pool and hot tub, a spa that can hold its own next to a trendy "big city" spa and an amazing restaurant. It ticks all the boxes, perfect for a romantic weekend, wonderful for families, a perfect stop for travelers passing through town.

We can't wait to return.

Room Tip: There are so many wonderful room choices that you can not go wrong.

This 2-night stay was the fourth visit for my husband and I to the Christmas Farm Inn. As always, we enjoyed superb service and accommodating staff, and the hot tub is the best in town. Our suite in the Carriage House was spacious and comfortable with jacuzzi, gas fireplace, fridge, 2 TV's, comfortable sitting room and views of Mt. Washington. Overall, we were quite satisfied. However, the bathroom sink drain sprung a leak in the morning; when I tried to stop up the sink, the stopper knob came off in my hand. Management offered another room, but we were checking out the next morning; it seemed more of an inconvenience to switch rooms for only one more night. That evening in the pool house, I noticed the ladies' locker room had water leaking down the back wall and across the floor, the same as it was three years ago! The breakfast was ample and hearty, but ordinary, not as sumptuous as before - the Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict was from a mix; disappointing. Also, FYI, Carriage House Rm 3 is directly over a boiler/pump room, so there is a constant rumbling which is not noticeable until everything quiets down at night. The noise might not bother some people, and we slept well enough, but if you're sensitive to sounds, it could be a problem.
