“Fabulous vacation spot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I'm not sure it's possible to say enough good things about the Christmas Farm Inn and Spa. The service, accommodations and food were impeccable and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Both my son and I had different food issues and the chef went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met with the most delicious food we've ever had. I would return here in a heartbeat and not only at Christmas!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Salt Box which was wonderful and I would imagine that no matter which room or build...

I stayed here with my boyfriend this week. We jumped onto a Groupon that came up for this place after a friend of mine recommended it.We loved it! Parking is a bit dangerous- the lot is across the street from the inn and cars really do fly down the hill. The Main Inn has rooms upstairs, a reading room with fireplace, a small (very small) pub, a parlor with a small TV and some board games like Scrabble, and the restaurant. We stayed upstairs in the Vixen room. It had an in-room jacuzzi big enough to do laps in and a king sized bed that was very firm. The room was a little dated with wallpaper that was peeling in more than a few spots, but the antique furniture was beautiful. The rest of the property is set up almost like a resort, with the indoor pool, hot tub, and gym area in a building a short walk, and the Carriage House spa and rooms a short drive up the hill from the Main Inn. The Saltbox was adjacent to the Main Inn but wasn't connected to it. Scattered along the rather steep hill were small cottages with cute names like the North Pole. The hill was very rather steep and looked like it wouldn't be easy to navigate in the snow, so I was glad I chose to stay in the Main Inn.

The restaurant downstairs was great, with breakfast included in our stay. Breakfast is a continental buffet with fruit, cereal, yogurt, and breads accompanied by a hot selection off the menu, such as french toast, pancakes, omelettes, etc., with unlimited coffee and juice. We ate at the restaurant two nights for dinner. Try the maple salmon, it's delicious!

I visited the spa for a massage. It was amazing and worth every penny. I was offered tea and cucumber water as refreshments. I was a bit disappointed to find there were no rooms for a couples massage. Each room is private with one massage bed, soothing music, and a small water fountain. Ask for Karen, her hands are magic. She managed to smooth out knots I didn't even know I had.

The next time the Christmas Farm Inn pops up on Groupon, I'll be grabbing one for a second visit. Rack rate is a little high, but their promotions are wonderful. Enjoy your stay!

Thank you so much for taking the time for such a detailed review. It was a pleasure to read!
Interestingly, we just applied new wallpaper in room 4 and it looks great!
Black Mountain Road is not a main road with a speed limit of 25 mph on the level of the Christmas Farm. For decades guests have parked on this road and lower parking lots and due to their diligence there have always been safe crossings. Old Inns do not always have the luxury of purpose built parking, so we have to live with the inevitable idiosyncrasies of historic properties.

We look forward to having you back soon; Caryn's hands are waiting! :-)

My husband and I came up after a Living Social deal made it impossible to resist! We stayed in the "Log Cabin", and it was beautiful on the outside, and warm and cozy on the inside. The deal included breakfast and a bottle of wine each night of our stay. The breakfast was excellent (Continental Breakfast plus any entree on the breakfast menu, juice and coffee). Everyone we met at the inn was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning, and bringing friends and family next time!

We stayed this weekend at the Christmas Farm Inn. Everything was wonderful! Our overall experience was fantastic!

We stayed in the Carriage House. Our room was very clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The fireplace and jacuzzi were great!!

Service was great! Any questions or requests were met with a friendly smile and I got a sense that they were genuinely happy to help.

There was a wedding going on so parking was tight in front of our building. The staff was quick to remedy it and offered to shuttle us up the hill. We had a long ride and were hoping to move our 7pm dinner reservations to an earlier time. They were more than accommodating and helpful doing this.

We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The food & service were excellent. The spa was also amazing.

They made our weekend getaway relaxing & memorable. I can't wait to come back!

We spend a night at this excellent hotel thanks to a groupon that came out in the fall. The hotel room as cozy and cute we loved our simple kind bedroom. The staff was super nice and the Italian night dinner on sunday night was excellent!! We had this delicious chocolate bag which was a dessert they offer amazing and Italian food soo good. The small bar was excellent also a great variety of martinis, drinks and great beer selection - very nice bartender. The indoor pool and hottub was a nice adition. Finally breakfast was also delicious freshly made bread all so good.

Room Tip: Have the food you wont regret it!

It has become a tradition to visit The Christmas Farm Inn every year with all the kids , with the grandchildren in tow. It has everything and more. The grandchildren are already asking about next year. Everyone is on a first name basis. Gary & Sandra , there children (Quinton & Sophia) Jen at the desk and the wonderful staff in the dining room , the housekeeping staff and Mary and the home made cookies. The warm fireplaced reading room , the comfort of the rooms and the outstanding food.

The Nestlenook resort next door with ice skating & horse drawn sleigh rides with Greg , a real Mainer with some great stories. Our grandkids love his down Maine accent.

Can't wait to return next year , so we can make more memories for the kids........

Room Tip: Ask for Jen , she will take care of your every need.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Christmas Farm and Spa in Jackson, New Hampshire. The owners state that they are committed to making the Christmas Farm Inn a quintessential New England experience and I think they are well on their way to doing so. The Christmas Farm Inn is ideally situated- away from the 'busy' ness of North Conway yet close enough for shopping, close to excellent skiing (we went to Wildcat and enjoyed the long runs and incredible views), and various other winter activities (we went snow mobiling with Northern Extreme and loved it). My wife went for a chakra massage, and floated back to our cottage. It was professional, very reasonably priced and thoroughly relaxing. The North Pole cottage was delightful (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fireplace, T.V and fridge in the sitting room) was ideal for us. Breakfast was excellent every morning and the two meals we had at the Inn were very good. Quantity was more than any of us could finish (even our 14 year old and his friend), and quality was first rate. My ribs were fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. The Tuesday night Turkey special was fantastic. Service at the Inn was excellent- friendly, helpful and prompt- in the dining room at breakfast and dinner, and at the reception desk at all times- for example we found the pillows in the North Pole cottage thin and hard- so we called the front desk and much better pillows were promptly brought to us- also, my car battery died and I was given assistance with a boost and an excellent recommendation for a mechanic to replace the battery. Travellers are very vulnerable so such assistance makes a huge difference in one's overall experience. The hot tub, pool and exercise equipment were wonderful. The decor at the Inn was delightful. You can tell that it was decorated with love and tastefulness. We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday and of all the places we have stayed in the Mount Washington Valley area this was far and away our favourite. The owners of this magnificent rustic are to be congratulated on their efforts to preserve and improve this beautiful and wonderfully situated New England Inn.

We are very happy you loved the charms of the Christmas Farm as much as we do! We all strive to give our guests a great time and are happy to go that extra step to help when we can. This place is a gem that needs protecting to preserve it for future generations. That is our job.
