You know when you're at work and you fantasize about spending the holidays in a beautiful big old colonial in the country? - well this place is it! We arrived on, of all weekends, Columbus Day & the ending of the Fryeburg Fair..... with all the traffic and crowds the Glen Oaks Inn was a haven for relaxation. The moment we arrived I felt like I was visiting family. Linda and Mitch are wonderful -real people - who care. We stayed in the "Forest Cottage" which was lovely, with a gas fireplace and a comfortable bed, I could not have been happier. Great breakfasts with awesome starters of cinnamon buns & strudel. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here recently to tour and hike the Fall colours and spend spend spend in North Conway. What sets this place apart is the great welcome and generosity of the proprietors, Linda and Mitch. Huge tasty breakfasts so we hardly needed lunch, they were full of local advice and tips and then there's the wine hour ... a very relaxing and genuinely good experience meant that this Austrian and her husband were sorry to move on. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a two night stay at the Glen Oaks Inn. It was just about 2 miles from the hustle and bustle of the shopping in North Conway. We actually enjoyed being a bit out of the traffic zone!

Highlights were the gracious hosts, MItch & Linda & phenomenal breakfasts both mornings. The innkeepers were very generous with their hospitality, yummy meals & suggestions for outings/ restaurants, etc. The breakfasts were out of this world, and better than you'd get at any restaurant in the Valley.

Room was nice - not extravagant, but certainly adequate.

Value was very good, we thought.

My experience at the Glen Oaks Inn makes me want to return as soon as possible. I felt the "old world" charm of a B&B with a lot of history and two of the most amazing hosts, Linda & Mitch. The bedding in the rooms is top notch; there are lots of windows; & my room had a cozy fireplace.

The amenities offered are "top notch"--you have to try the experience to see what might be offered on your trip. I had an amazing 5 omelette breakfast with scones one day and the next day cinnamin rolls and waffles. This breakfast will compete with any of the 3 star restaurants in the country.

For orders by request, Linda makes some mouth watering strawberries drenched in chocolate & chocolate dipped pretzels.

The warmth & gratiousness of these hosts will be something you want to experience.

This lovely, classic New England Bed & Breakfast was everything we hoped for, and more! It was a much needed weekend getaway, complete with lovely rooms, fireplace, jacuzzi, beautiful woods with trails for hiking, snowshoeing or XC skiing right out the back door! For everything that was included, the price was reasonable, too! The gourmet breakfasts were "to die for!" But the best parts of this place were the hosts, Mitch and Linda, who went out of their way to make the visits of their guests as enjoyable as possible. And their free wine & goodie hour every evening from 5 to 6 made for the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere I've ever felt in a B&B, and I've been to quite a few! Dik and I will definitely go back, again and again!

We had a nice experience at the Forest Inn. The innkeepers are very friendly and welcoming. We sat and had coffee with them the day we were leaving, actually. Super people. We had a cottage with a gas fireplace, which was so adorable and romantic. We will definitely be back.
