“Benson's revisited”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

Benson's Wild Animal Park closed it's gates in 1987 and the park fell to ruins in the years that followed. In 2008 the town of Hudson acquired the 166 acre property from the state and thanks to the very hard work of volunteers, it has become one of the most beautiful parks in the area and beyond with a playground, picnic areas, dog park, walking trails and a stunning monument to the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center.

“Benson's Animal Farm is now a Park”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

The sight of the original Benson's Animal Farm, is now a beautiful park. I love the fact that some of the original structures from the farm have been restored. Trails around the pond are beautiful and you can bring your dog!

“Great park for the family and the family dog”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

Benson Park has great walking trails, a fenced-in dog park, a large playground, grassy areas, and a nostalgic gorilla cage for the kids to play in. I was amazed by the amount of amenities the first time I visited Benson Park. The playground is unique and suitable for toddlers - my two year old son loved the bridge with "holes". I think the favorite part of the park was the gorilla cage that the kids can play in, though. There is a gorgeous mural on the back wall and the kids seem to love the novelty of being in a cage. I highly recommend this park.

“Nice place for the whole family”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

The park has a little something for everyone. Walking trails, small fishing pond. Great open areas for running a playing. Great equipment for the kids. Add in the nostalgia of the old Benson's wild animal park and it a great place to spend any day.

This place has something for everyone. There are plenty of trails to walk or run on, a playground for the kids and there is even a dogpark there too.
