“Friendly, cozy Inn in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

We recently stayed two days at this beautiful Inn in October (foliage season). The Inn and its owners, Bill and Bonnie, are warm and welcoming. Our room (Porcupine Hollow), was very large, with an adjoining sitting room that was also very large and comfortable. (each room had its own theme, which was great). There were a lot of windows providing views of the large rolling backyard, with a forest behind. You can tell that these innkeepers focused on the details. While there was no fireplace in the room, there was a lovely large fireplace in the large communal living room, which Bill kept stoked. (very comfortable couches in there as well for reading before the fire on a cool night). The innkeepers provided a lot of helpful information regarding nearby restaurants (of which there were quite a few). The lakes were very close by. The breakfast was also very good, and served in a light and area room looking into the backyard. We would highly recommend this Inn.

My family and I recently stayed at the Inn. We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Once we arrived (late at 10pm), Bonnie provided a tour of the Inn and made us feel right at home. The breakfast served each morning was substantial and delicious. Bill and Bonnie spent time visiting with us, learning about our interests, and offering insights into how to maximize our time touring the area. In the evenings, Bonnie and Bill created a warm, cozy environment with a roaring fire, complimentary tea/coffee, and soothing background music (and even glasses for wine). They made us feel like family friends, rather than guests. We enthusiastically recommend this charming Inn and hope to visit again in the near future!

My wife and I spent a pleasant week in New Hampshire recently, and stayed in a
different bed and breakfast each evening. One of our highlights was the town of
Holderness, and specifically the Inn on Golden Pond. Bill and Bonnie have a
beautiful and relaxing facility, and we will definitely stay with them again
when we return.

This B&B is in SUCH a pretty, peaceful setting, and the B&B itself is SO lovely! Loved the drive getting to it, as well, as it's very much up in the mountains. The room was INCREDIBLE..large and very well done...in all the places we stayed, NO one had a room as nice as this place did. I could have stayed there a week, it was SO nice and comfortable!! The hosts were also very hospitable...we greatly enjoyed visiting with them.

The only two things that could have been better about the place were:
1) We were given for the main course at breakfast, a choice between blueberry pancakes, or scrambled eggs and bacon. The other places we stayed at served several main entrees, so we were a bit surprised we had to choose just one.
2) Around 10 pm or so, they put their tea bags and hot water container up from downstairs...the other places we stayed at, left such out all night, so that a person could have hot tea or hot instant coffee anytime in the evening. So that part was a bit disappointing, as I was still wanting tea in the evening, and we found everything had been removed for the night.

Other than that, the place was not lacking in anything, and we definitely want to go back there, and for a longer time, as well. Overall, this B&B was 5 star!

We stayed for 2 nights with two other couples at the Inn on Golden Pond in Holderness, NH. Our hosts Bill and Bonnie Webb were very friendly and helpful in suggesting touring activities in the area. The Inn is very clean and comfortable. We had a roaring fire to come back to each evening. Many fine restaurants are close by and the scenic drives in the area for day trips are outstanding. We would recommend to friends and return ourselves.

we stayed at this Inn for the last 2 nights of our 3 week holiday and it was the best place that we stayed at. It was lovely and clean, Bill and Bonnie were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts were superb! It was well positioned for the beautiful scenary, be it the nearby lakes or the White mountains and the beautiful fall colours. Near by is the Common Man, which is a great restaurant. I definitely recommend this Inn.

Looking for a locale near, but still somewhat removed from, the crowds that gather between Lincoln and North Conway on Columbus Day weekend, we selected this Inn based on Tripadvisor rating and reviews. Things that worked for us - number of rooms - with only 8 rooms, never felt too busy or crowded, easy to meet and talk with other guests. Comfortable surroundings, come and go as you please, clean refrig. for guests, computer/wifi, TV room, fireplace/reading area...something for everyone. With plan to hike in the area, found trails minutes away (Mt Morgan/Percival) without having to return to the Kancamangus where we've spent a lot of time in the past. Owners are very much in tune with guest's needs - Bill and Bonnie joined us at breakfast each morning - what do you have planned? need help with directions? etc...Privacy/Security - each room has own key (apparently wasn't always that way - see the one Poor review). Clean!!

Bed was very comfortable - sleep quality/location lost points for location on Rt 3. This might bother some very light sleepers, we didn't have a problem with it, but imagine that a room on the back side of the property might be quieter. Overall good value, appropriately priced...would easily make a return stay if in the area again.

Room Tip: Since the Inn is located on a busier street, requesting a room on the back vs one facing the road wo...
