Just back from a day trip to this mountain. It's small - smaller than Ragged and definitely smaller than Sunapee.

No wait for the lift lines and wonderful staff at the lifts. No problems slowing the lifts for our small kids and we were greeted with smiles and waves from staff though out the day.

Nice lodge, usual food, standard prices and all very comfortable.

This mountain is perfect for young kids and those who want to gain confidence on the slopes without getting run over. To date, we have not come across friendlier or more helpful staff.

I went to Pats Peak ski area and was pleasantly surprised. It is closer to Boston than Mt. Sunapee, which is a great close mountain. While Pats Peak lacks in the high speed quads, the mountain is short enough and fun enough that it does not mountain. Believe it or not, it has challenges for all abilities. Their black and double black slopes can rate with the best of the northeast. The food at the base lodge on the left looking down from the mountain has some work to do. It is basically grilled cheese and soups and the service could have been better and faster, but had the chocolate mouse desert that was only $2.50 and in a good restaurant could have been $12 bucks and it tasted like the good restaurants chocolate mouses. They added another intermediate area which expanded their terrain this year and they do a great job on grooming and snow making. They do not get the crowds of the bigger mountains but this is really a diamond ski area in the rough and awesome for a family.

Going to Pat's Peak on Saturday night has been a great way for our family to spend some super fun time together over the years. For only $45 we ski from 3 - 10pm (includes rentals if you need them). The mountain looks like a winter wonderland, all lit up at night. The lodge is small and comfy and there is never a large crowd.
Skiing Pat's Peak is a great way to get fresh air while exercising and making winter fly by with fun winter activities.

We've been skiing at Pat's Peak for several years. It's a small but friendly place. Expert snow making and grooming. Excellent, friendly staff. We ski throughout NH but keep up our season pass year after year.
