On certain weekends, the library opens the clock tower so mortals can soar like eagles, well not really, but the views from the clock tower are spectacular! After climbing through many bookcases, passage ways and stairwells, you get to a small door that leads you out on a small railed walkway that goes all the way around the tower. You get to see the mountains, the college, the green, the town and simply get a sense of wonder that does not exist at ground level.
Of course the library itself is amazing. Do not miss the Orozco Murals in Baker-Berry Library!
And after wandering for a while, find the Dr. Suess "Oh the Places You'll Go!" reading room, officially The Theodore Suess Geisel 1925 Room and check out the art work.
Then it is on to the King Arthur Flour coffee and pastry shop in the Library for a treat.
The Library should give you a sense of joy and wonder along with a nice hot cup of coffee and some really good baked goods.
