Dartmouth College looks and feels as a college should in New England. You can walk everywhere and the town merges onto the campus. The town is alive and active, a real retail section. You should make sure to visit the bookstore.

Dartmouth is an incredible campus because the local area is so nice. The Campus is right in the center of Hanover, which is such a nice town. There is a lot going on at Dartmouth, even in the summer! I would recommend going to the info session. Also, the walking tour is a great way to see the campus and lovely historic buildings.

Dartmouth College is a great place to go if you like the four seasons; it runs year round. If you like small towns but with many cultural opportunities. If you like hiking or skiing or mountains and rivers, lakes and ponds, any and all athletics, be they team or personal. There is a SkiWay, a Boat Club, a golf course, and a River runs by it. If a person who was here in the earlier 20th century stood at the entrance to the Hanover Inn today and looked across the Green, that person would see virtually the same buildings seen back then. It gives one the feeling of home. Atill, everything is up-to-date on this campus. That includes state of the art equipment, state of the art Graduate programs in Business, Engineering and Medicine. Advanced degrees can be had in many of the liberal arts and that part of Dartmouth is growing every year. There is a multicultural and multinational student body. You will learn as much from them as from your learned professors and you'll make life-long friendships. I didn't give it 5 stars for nothing!

Said by Pres. Eisenhower when he gave is "Don't be a book burner" speech at commencement. You will not find a lovelier campus. Take a student tour, or pick up a guidebook and do your own looking around campus. Hood Museum, Hopkins Center for the Arts, Ivy League athletic contests, there is something for everyone.

Dartmouth College is an amazingly diverse, interesting, interested (in its' students, faculty, etc.) and cool small college. I worked there as a staff member but with 10+ years in higher education at other institutions, feel I have enough of a background to make this claim. The town of Hanover features prominently in my opinion but I was truly amazed at the depth and breadth of options available to the students and faculty, especially considering the truly rural setting. I absolutely consider myself a part of The Big Green, even if I am not an alumna.
