“The history, the Ivy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

What a charming place! It is very small for a college campus and easy to navigate around. People are very friendly, and it was great to walk around and feel the ambiance and history of the Ivy League. Hanover Country Club is quite charming....too bad we're here at the wrong time of year because I'd love to get a round in there. Course looks like it is in great shape all the time when in season.

“Such a neat campus”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

I may be biased as I just started working here, but there are so many amazing things to see! The Hood art museum is amazing, the campus is beautiful, the libraries all have hidden corners with beautiful art work. If you happen to be in the area, it's worth checking out!

“Best ivy campus for a stroll in October”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

Every vista is worth a postcard. The Dartmouth green, Baker library, the Thayer school of engineering and the Tuck business school. Spring baseball is a treat with coach Walen.

“Dartmouth - Center for the Arts, Music, Theater, Sports, Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH is easily reached, almost at the crossroads of two interstates and sited on the east bank of the Connecticut River opposite from the pretty New England town of Norwich, VT (check out Dean and Whits general store and King Arthur's Flour there). Besides being a beautiful Ivy League campus in a small, friendly college town, Dartmouth and its great medical school and hospital has become a great retirement location - offering a rich cultural life (the Hopkins Center for plays and first-class music of all kinds, the Hood Museum - a bijoux building housing a great permanent collection and intriguing changing exhibits, tennis and golf facilities open to the public (small fees), hiking, downhill and crosscountry skiing and most other sports. Plus the greatest medical center in northern New England. What's not to like? A hidden gem is the world-class mural in the basement of Baker Library by the great Mexican muralist Jose Clemente Orozco, contemporary of Diego Riviera.
Outside the college framework, there summer opera (Opera North) in nearby Lebanon, NH, fine theater in White River Junction, VTd (Northern Stage), and the AVA Gallery art center in Lebanon NH to name just the most important. Great place to visit and live.

“Great Colleget Town - fun even if you're not a student!”

Great small town feel, good restaurants, beautiful setting, tons of history. Love to visit, even now that "our student" has graduated!
