Not that there is abundant competition, but Jewel of India delivers competently prepared, "real" Indian food that won't make a vegetarian wince or worry about hidden no-nos lurking in the sauce. We had two vegetarian dishes, and each one was just right, as were the rice and the bread we ordered. Our friend liked her lamb dish, too, so not just vegetables. The place is a converted single family house that is kind of bare bones in appearance. Service was pleasant, though not effusive. It's a very small restaurant, with not too much space between tables, so not ideal for conducting secret negotiations or assignations, but it works for dining.
