I'm a stickler for a light dinner of salmon or a juicy burger and a lovely glass of wine. The night I was at Murphy's, everything was perfect. The Pinot Noir was delightful and the salmon --so flaky and encrusted with delightful seasonings. My meal was served with kale - never tried it, but found that I liked it. It was not bitter as I have always
heard. My other party had the hamburger -- juicy, done to perfection and very tasty!
Met the owner, Nigel (quite an interesting chap :), the bartender, the chef, and many
of the waiter staff. They were very personable. All in all, it was a truly beautiful evening
and Murphy's made it just right !

“Like the new menu!”
Reviewed August 17, 2010

We used to avoid Murphy's...now it's really good!
The staff was really nice. The use of local ingredients enhanced the menu and wasn't gimmicky. I had excellent pasta. My husband had a lamb special. Our friends had pasta, too. We highly recommend the brownie. So rich it needs to be split between friends. A little pricey, but then, what isn't in Hanover? :-)

“Yum!”
Reviewed August 16, 2010

The place had some great reviews on trip advisor so we decided to stop there for lunch on a Sunday. We wanted to stop on a Friday but could not find any parking in the entire town. We sat in one of the window booths that were great for people watching. We had the supreme BLT,which basically changed my boyfriend's life, and the lobster roll which was equally as good. The best part of the meal, however, was dessert. Everything is homemade and the ice cream dish we ordered looked like it belonged on the food channel. We would for sure eat here again.

“Mediocre”
Reviewed June 26, 2010

I can't believe how rude and sarcastics the bartenders were!! The food was extremely over priced. It was glorified bar food. Don't recommend.
