Lou's is a traditional diner, but with a real focus on food. The menu has a wide selection of breakfast fare, burgers, sandwiches, and salads, all slightly upscale from your average diner. The service is attentive and prompt, and the atmosphere is quite comfortable. Highly recommend breakfast or lunch here.

Man...this was a super breakfast place in a sleepy little New England town. Piles of smarty pants and bacon for everyone. The joe was awesome, the pancakes w local berries were a 10 out of 10. Can I live here please?

We visted Hanover during our three night stay at the Maple Leaf Inn at Barnard Vermont.
We called at this bakery for a couple of sandwiches to eat out on a lovely summers day.We ordered a Tuna salad sandwich and a Cape Cod wrap.Firstly the tuna salad sandwich should be renamed a lettuce sandwich reason being it was all lettuce plus a couple of tablespoons worth of tuna and two tomato slices.the cape cod wrap was of similar make up,the worst thing was that the wrap was soggy. We were charged 19 dollars which being from the UK worked out around twelve pounds. Not only is this a ridiculous price to pay for two sandwiches the lady that served us was not even polite, bordering on the rude even.I have read other recent reviews and all I can say is that was not the experience we had of this eatery. In London you would have to eat in a five star hotel to be charged that price for two sandwiches and not a local cafe.

This is the place to go for a yummy brunch with big portions and a big menu. This place was full and there was a short wait for us on a Friday around noon. They also have a bunch of interesting daily specials. Our waitress was really friendly. The cakes and pies in the dessert case looked amazing too.

Decidedly a local landmark, Lou's had a line when we arrived on a Sunday morning. It moved very quickly, though. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant. The food was good. Not over the top outstanding - but exactly what you'd expect from a diner breakfast.
