“Horrible service and attitude”
Reviewed May 23, 2014

We took friends here for a special occasion and the service was absolutely horrible. It took us over three hours to have dinner, not because we lingered but because the service was that poor. Waitress acted like she was doing us a favor by coming by the table rarely. Ordered expensive wine and had to ask to have refills and had to hunt down the waitress to order a second bottle. Dessert took over 45 mins to arrive even after complaining to the manager. The manager was very rude and unhelpful. The food was good but cold by the time it got to our table. I would absolutely not return. This restaurant shares the attitude of the hotel...poor. And when reservations were made, we were told we only had the table for 2 hours! Much better restaurants in Hanover.

“Quiche fit for a queen!”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

On Easter Sunday, my husband and I enjoyed a terrific brunch at Pine. The quiche was absolutely the best I have ever had. The sharp cheddar flavor was everywhere! I almost ordered a second one. My husband had the Hanover Inn burger and had the same feeling about his meal. A wonderful, friendly spot right in our home town. A vibrant atmosphere tops it off!

PINE, located inside the Hanover Inn has a good head chef but his supporting crew is weak. I suspect that the entire operation is plagued by a burdensome cost structure which drives menu prices up. One of the bartenders there insists on being referred to as a "mixologist" rather than a bartender -- people skills and dedication to providing good service are not high on his list of strengths. The bottom line is that PINE gets away with being the most expensive place in the area because of its location (which is unquestionably its key strength). I advise you to explore other options whenever feasible.

“Another pretty face but....”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

What a great atmosphere! If only the food measured up. It was expensive ($175 for three people - 2 drinks included, tip included) and the food was very mediocre. The service was SLOW. The couscous was flavorless, as is the canneloni. The kale salad was the tastiest item we tried. The gnocci was pasty. The rib eye was grissly. The fries were greasy. Futile effort at fine dining. Fool me twice.....

“Hanover Inn's renovated restaurant is a hit”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Always busy...both in the bar and the restaurant. Great food and selection. The crafted cocktails are excellent and well executed.
A welcome addition to the pub food choices generally available in Hanover
