Thought we would try the BBQ. Unfortunately we just found in average. Meat was dry, sauces were unexciting. Did make a nice margarita!

Seriously, I would have never known how good the place was. It looks like a hole-in the-wall, literally. If you've never been there, you might be a little skeptical about walking in. It's a little seedy from the outside, with a mid-evil styled door painted red and black - in fact the whole place has a color motif of red and black. If it wasn't on the Dartmouth campus, and instead in SoHo Manhattan or downtown of some other large city, I would not enter.

My advice: Go in, don't be afraid and absorb the scenery as if it was a Disney ride. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the food is amazing (provided you're into that kind of stuff) and it's a welcome change of pace from the outside. Well done, 3-Guys, Thank you!

Have been to 3 guys 2-3 times and really liked it. Went 10 days ago and had a mediocre meal. Had a hamburger, which I've had before and loved. I asked for this one to be med rare- it was well done. Bacon was supposed to be on it, it wasn't. Asked for cheddar and don't think it was cheddar. And it was on the all too familiar much larger bun with the burger seemingly lost and covered by tons (way too much) of chopped iceberg lettuce. Friend had the burnt ends and said they were very dry. His mixed drink was in a large beer type glass, very impressive but wait.. same amount of alcohol and watered down with too much club soda. Another friend had the "choice of three. He liked the pulled pork and pork belly but NOT the bbq chicken. Our server, can't remember his name, was excellent! Atmosphere is great.

They offer a tasty smoked brisket that has all the seasoning n flavor wrapped in. Side dishes include seasonal favorites. Tried roasted Brussels sprouts which were tasty and Mac n cheese. It's no frills so when unordered brisket ugh et 2 slices and choice of side. Prefer brisket to be more fatty but seasoning is quite good.

I haven't been to every BBQ place in the State, but I think I'm getting close.
Great atmosphere, very cozy and low-key (could've done without the big-screen tv, but I guess they're de rigeur nowadays).
The burnt ends were as good as my own (and I think mine are great, btw) and the Mac & Cheese was better than what I make.
Fried pickles were good, but they were either fried at too low a temp, or they weren't dry enough before they were battered.
