Description: Memphis-style BBQ and Comfort Food Restaurant in Hanover, NH
Reviewed January 17, 2013 via mobile

A hidden gem in New Hampshire. Don't miss the scenic wonder of this great area of NH or the quaintness of the town of Hanover. But by no means should you be passing through and pass the chance on some of the best comfort BBQ you'll ever encounter. Each dish was subtly innovative like the dry rub smoked chicken wings with three twists on sauces yet they still capture the spot on smoky tastes colors textures and deliciousness that culminate into a satisfying old fashion meal. The smoked meat loaf, the brisket - can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Farm to table and everything made scratch
The atmosphere and setting is casual but esthetically very pleasing and the service to top notch
How could that not all equate to naming 3 guys basement the penthouse of all BBQ's?!

Only thing bad about 3 Guys basement BBQ is that they are not located in New York.

Until our next trip to hanover our contingent plans included coaxing the owner, Nigel to start shipping on his website.
Cheers and thank you again for your wonderful hospitality and phenomenal meal
We will undoubtedly be back.

Put the time in to finding this place because it is completely worth it! The quality of the food and service makes the price you pay completely worth it. I have never had barbecue like this...they use all local & organic meat, and have a wicked fancy smoker they use that they will take you into the kitchen to see (YES, my server took me INTO the kitchen. It was spotless, always a plus.) and a recipe book they will let you read. ORDER the wings. You will not regret it! I have never had a wing like that...crispy and delicious skin, ridiculously juicy chicken. My mouth is watering right now, writing this. My favorite entree is the pulled pork, by far - but the burnt ends are also amazing. Mac & Cheese? Holy moly, to die for. Roasted sweet potatoes = LOVE. Now, to top it all off...the freakin Red Velvet Cupcake. Note the capitalization....its soooo good. Moist cake, not too sweet creamcheese frosting, and (i think) crushed candied pecans on the top. Its also gigantic, so you can take half home and when you wake up in the middle of the night haunted by its deliciousness you can eat the rest. I love this place. Its fun, the servers/bartenders are awesome, and they even have a trivia night on tuesdays where you can win beer glasses and tshirts and such. Definetly my new favorite restaurant in the Upper Valley. Kudos to the chef, and thank you for making my tastebuds happy!

Very nice basement bar/restaurant. Unique environment for area. Not stuffy, like so many other local eateries. Fun menu, but they need to be careful not to foodie it up too much. In a town of hipsters in sweater vests, the most popular restaurant is the one with $2 margaritas, so its smart to keep it simple..

The owners also run another restaurant around the corner and it shows: 3 Guys is a great restaurant that knows its niche and does what it does very well. Great service and even greater food, this is a perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner.

Food was great. Smaller portions than most BBQ restaurants and slightly expensive, but worth it. The pork burger with an egg on it was to die for!
