It was pretty darn cold considering spring arrived a month ago but it snowed overnight. It did give me the serenity and solitude to feel like I was the only one on the beach though. Cold ocean breeze, crashing surf, huge flat expanse of white sand, it's hard to imagine the smell of sunblock and laid out bodies everywhere in the coming months. You look towards the other side of the boardwalk and see all the deserted shops and food stands boarded up (even the mcdonalds was boarded up!) an unhinged plywood door swinging in the whistling wind makes you almost think "where are the zombies?!" New Hampshire barely has a recognizable coastline on the map but you really appreciate it's coastal feel worth visiting when you see it with your own eyes.

Plenty of clean family beach. Water is so clear you can see your feet quite a ways out. Some days you can find shells and sand dollars. Bathrooms can get dirty by the end if the day but that's expected at the beach. Parking is $15 for the day. Half that if you are a state employee. You can walk to the town beach where all the shops and restaurants are. Only negative is when you leave if you want to go north or west you have to drive though town on a one way street so it takes forever. But it's worth it!

I had a good time there sailing and with a rented SUP. I try to skip shoppings and malls, so i was glad there is some adventurous tours around the area.

What a great place, I try to go here every summer. The beach is beautiful, the boardwalk is full of arcades, little shops, and places to eat. They have bands play at the outdoor auditorium nightly in the summer, and fireworks every Wednesday. Love this place!
