Clean beach, park personal always out emptying trash and picking it up along walkways and cleaning restrooms. Free fireworks Wed. nights and concerts every night. Park Rangers roam the beach looking for any problems. One time they found some red cup drinkers, checked IDs and made them empty last of their few beers. Parking now is only problem, after recent buildings on street and lost spaces with new restrooms. Please don't feed seagulls ! They are aggressive, have seen them help themselves to unattended snacks. Never mind leaving behind nasty calling cards.

The beach was clean, washrooms were close by and clean. Lots of space. The kids playground was a great break from the sand and beach. The food along the boardwalk and street was affordable and ranges to expensive if you want. It took about 20 minutes to get a parking spot but we found on in the lot by J street which was super convenient.
The water and waves were choppy so little kids beware as it has a strong pull when the waves go back out.
It got breezy at night so bring a jacket or long sleeve if you plan to stay after 6 pm. Parking is $2 an hour in the lot. We had only planned on staying 3 hours but ended up refilling to stay for 6 hours and still could've done more as we barely walked through the stores. There are pleny of cheap souvenirs adn if you forgot a beach umbrella or lawn chair, no worries you can buy the for pretty beach, being they are not a rip off.
For parking you can find $10 a day about ablock off but we thought it was not worth it and some lots want to keep you keys so they can move cars around etc...

Water was very clean, new bathroom facility. Fireworks every Wednesday. Crowded, but a good time, and very nice beach.
