“Short but sweet stay”

The people are very good, the hotel was clean and the restaurants were great. If we had one complaint it was the room was small. Like Microtel small. At least the King we stayed in was. That's to be expected on the beach I guess but for the price (in October) kinda steep.

Room Tip: There are 2 wings. rooms on the south of the south wing face the action. North/north faces the quiet...

We had a great price online. When we arrived they gave us a nice upgrade to an ocean view room. The hotel is very nice. New flat screens and air conditioners. Comfortable beds.

The next morning we had a nice breakfast in the coffee ahow downstairs.

It was a mini vacation to remember for us.. Being off season the beach was was nothing short of beautiful. The Hotel has only the nicest people providing services no matter what your need..having a front facing balcony directly on the beach was nothing short of fantastic.

First, the good news. The bedding was spotlessly clean. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The view from our room was worth every penny of the somewhat pricey room charge. The bad news...the room itself was shabby, with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and ceiling over the bed and the shower curtain had signs of mildew - as it is on the ocean, I expected a moisture issue. The matress was very hard, the pillows impossible to sleep on. The food can be described as mediocre, at best - I didn't expect frozen seafood at an ocean side dining room. The fries and hash browns were prepared from frozen - if the food had been priced according to the quality I would have known not to eat there. As it was, I paid too much for too litte.

Room Tip: ocean view is worth the price paid

One of my favorite places. Super clean, ocean view, nice pool, right on the beach. Breakfast isn't free but there's a coffee shop 5 minutes up the street. Pillows are pretty hard & the towels a little rough, but the decor is lovely and the bed comfortable and the staff is courteous.

The Ashworth is a great hotelwith friedly curteous staff.I love this hotel, however , I will not return to the Breakers restaurant that is part of this complex..The waiter was excellent, but the food was not good. The menu was very disappointing and lacked the variety that was there in previous visits. The turkey dinner was missing from the menu. and the chicken parm had an old taste. Nothing extra like salad or bread came with the dinner. I will not return to this restaurant again.

Room Tip: ocean front or ocean view

My husband and I often drove for 3 hours, just to spend a day and eat at the wonderful Ashworth Hotel Restaurant, which was always fantastic. Our last trip was several months ago. I just returned from spending 2 nights at the Ashworth with my sister and looked forward to bringing her to the restaurant. I had the delicious roast turkey dinner in mind. We were both disgusted with the limited menu, and wound up with the Chicken parm and pasta meal. The chicken tasted old, was a bit tough, and of freezer burn quality. I ate 2 forkfuls and left the rest, as did my sister. Considering there was no bread, rolls, or salad, we thought the price was expensive. The menu was less than half of the one I remember. We will never eat there again. We walked down the street and ate a piece of pizza to satisfy our hunger.

Room Tip: If you want a full view of the ocean, ask for ocean front. An ocean view is a side view of the ocean...
