We recently (11/17-19) stayed with Margaret and Willie at Still Meadow and thought we were in HEAVEN!! We stay in B & B's whenever we can and this - by far - was the best ever! I have never seen such attention to detail. Not only was the house divinely decorated, the treats that we enjoyed were sumptuous - and not just for breakfast. Breakfast was other worldly; coffee delicious; baked treats were great! Then later in the day, there were treats if we wanted them. While we were out Margaret freshened up our room and left nice little treats for our evening snack. Seriously- we can't wait to go back. We have made a reservation for the next time through southern NH and we hope to send our kids there for a romantic getaway! Home away from home doesn't describe this delicious B&B experience!

We stayed at this B&B 11/9 & 11/10/13 & it was incredible. Margaret & Willie have done a remarkable job of restoring this 1850 home & we did not want to leave it. Margaret knows so much of the history about this home & the family that built it & she loves to share it w/her guests. Her goal is to make your stay as perfect as she possibly can & she is incredible. While we were out, she was working in her yard. She actually came in when she saw us & offered us somthing to drink. While we changed clothing, she was brewing a pot of tea & had it waiting for us in the parlor w/cookies & other assorted goodies. She stopped what she was doing & took care of us. Where else can you get such devoted, caring people as this. Our room was amazing & you found something constantly that you may not have noticed before. It was like a treasure hunt - look at this and look at that !!!! Words cannot describe the delicious breakfast(s) she made each morning. She is an excellent baker/cook & takes pride in what she does. I spoke w/vendors in the town who know here & everyone speaks highly of her. She is a gem in a little part of heaven in Hampstead, NH. We hope to go back & bring friends w/us. I'm recommending this B&B to anyone/everyone that is planning a trip to the New England area. You will not be disappointed. By the way - we wanted to take the mattress w/us. Her husband Willie is a gem as well. He was on the mend when we were there having an ankle injury. Get well soon wishes to him as well. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this B&B - it's a little piece of paradise tucked away in a little corner of New Hampshire but yet is close to alot of things including Boston.

This is our second visit to Stillmeadow B&B and we can't wait to come back again! Margaret sets the bar so high with her charm, delicious breakfasts and kindness, that no other B&B even comes close. I especially love that there are sweet treats all over the house all day, cookies & biscotti in the breakfast room, candy on the hall table, homemade fudge or cookies by our bedside nightly and a mini fridge in the parlor full of sodas & wine for her guests!
Margaret's thoughtful ways, delicious food and peaceful rooms make our visits a sanctuary from all the stresses of everyday life.

Margaret's years of experience in Scotland come through loud and clear in this memorable inn. She loves what she does and it shows, from the care she has taken in decorating the inn, to the joy in her voice as she takes your breakfast order.

Practical information: We stayed in a room that had a "Sanctuary" room attached. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The flat screen television worked flawlessly. Two homemade chocolate chip cookies were waiting for us,along with bottled water and a small refrigerator. The refrigerator was neatly tucked into the passage-way between our room and our Sanctuary. Curious? The Sanctuary room has a beautiful sofa and sound system for relaxation. Adjacent to the Sanctuary was our well-equipped bathroom with excellent water pressure.

Unfortunately for us, we arrived late and had to leave early, so we didn't get to visit Margaret's gardens. Margaret and William got up early to serve us a wonderful breakfast of eggs, porridge, toast, fresh fruit and a delicious assortment of tea loaves. They are a charming couple and we really wished we could have visited with them longer.

We had the most perfect 4 day stay at the Still Meadow B&B. The innkeeper, Margaret, is a truly charming & delightful hostess in every way. She made us feel so welcome in her beautiful inn. It was immaculately clean, gorgeously decorated and so comfortable.
Margaret made such delicious breakfast feasts for us: blueberry pancakes, fresh, home grown fruits, fresh baked banana, pumpkin & cranberry/orange bread, croissants with bacon & cheese & home grown tomatoes, homemade mini quiches, plus coffee, tea, juices. Plus she left sweet treats on our nightstand daily, had cookies, chocolates, beer, wine, sodas, crackers, coffee available all day in living room & dining room.
Our John Ordway suite was so luxurious, large & lovely. The bed was very comfortable, had a flat screen tv, A/C unit, seating area, separate Sanctuary room with stereo & day bed, mini frig, microwave, large bathroom with full tub & shower and any bathroom essentials you may have forgotten. Such attention to detail and thoughtful touches are everywhere.
It was the perfect way for us to visit nearby family & friends but have a relaxing, comfy place to return to each night. We absolutely loved our stay & can't wait to return. We can't say enough good things about sweet, Scottish Margaret & her wonderful inn. Everything about our experience made this the best B&B stay we have ever had!

Room Tip: We had the John Ordway Suite

We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful 5 day stay.
The innkeepers Willie and Margaret make you feel that they are very glad to share their home and community with their guests.
We couldn't find a kayak to rent locally and Willie went in to their barn and gave us theirs to use.

Stillmeadows came as a delightful change from the standard rooms we had stayed in while in Boston. It has a true feel of it's period (1850's ) but at the same time is very homely and very comfortable with excellent food. Margaret and Willie were brillient hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Stillmeadow is a B&B that I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.
