“Brilliant! Best In 50 miles!”
Reviewed May 30, 2009

A Julia Child protégé Liz Jackson is amazing and talented! Food is always excellent but our favorites are the $22 specials where she devotes the menu to a place like Italy, Mexico or the Islands. The meal normally comes with an app, entree and desert. High quality service, ingredients and experience.

“Great food but pricey cup of coffee”
Reviewed April 17, 2009

Great food on the pricey side. If you are a coffee drinker beware the $3 charge for a cup.

“Great Food, Gorgeous Scenery Along the Way”
Reviewed July 21, 2008

We had dinner at Libby's Bistro about 10 days ago and found it to be one of the highlights of our vacation. It looks a bit "quirky" inside and out, but the food was exceptional. We started out with the hearty onion soup, and though it might have been more suitable for a cold winter's night than a warm summer's evening...the taste was outstanding...probably the best onion soup I've eaten anywhere. Carmelized onions and the wonderful local cheese baked on top made it a special treat for any season. The steak entree was delicious and tender, but the highlight of a fantastic meal was the fresh raspberry and peach cobbler for dessert...a special treat made even better thanks to the delicious dough and the fresh whipped cream on top. I could have made a meal out of that alone, and been a very happy diner! Too bad scenic Gorham is so far from home. Otherwise, we'd eat there at least once a week.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed May 14, 2008

I had dinner here while visiting the Mt. Washington area. Cute, cozy place with good French food. I ordered something along the lines of chicken confit with mushroom beggar purses in potato/leek cream sauce. Sounds complicated, but it was heavenly! We ordered their Euro platter to start, but should have skipped it and saved room for dessert instead. I was surprised when a salad arrived - apparently it comes with each meal. My spouse ordered the grape and champagne sorbet for dessert. Nice and light, but a little pricey at $9. Overall, great quality food and service. Make sure to make reservations ahead of time.

“Loved the Libby Bistro”
Reviewed July 7, 2006

A simply splendid restaurant, well off the beaten path in northern New Hampshire. It's worth the trip. Appetizers, mains and desserts were all first rate, complemented by a surprisingly good wine list.
