“A great little place!”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We have stayed hear several times in the past while skiing in the North Conway area, and have always enjoyed our stay. We recently stayed for a long weekend, and booked the "family room", two rooms that attach. We stayed with our two sons.
The hosts were very welcoming to our family, and both seem to truly enjoy running their bed and breakfast and offering their guests a comfortable, enjoyable, stay. There are only a few rooms in this B&B, so there is a lot less hustle at the morning rush then at some other B&Bs we have been at. Overall, a very relaxing, home like place to stay.
They can provide ski tickets for local resorts at a very significant discount.
The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was very good.
Overall, a very good value and very relaxing stay!

We have been as a family to this B&B 3 times, from when my son was 2 until now that he is 12. I can not recommend more this B&B the rooms are on the small side but quaint and price right. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, every day is something different and all cooked to order.
The setting is great and close to everything, you do need a car.
We have come in the summer and enjoyed the Sacco River and the outdoors and we have come in the winter and just pretty much only sleep and have breakfast.
I have to disagree with some other reviews about children, I found that although the innkeepers may not seem friendly they sure are, they let my daughter play with their cats and always were willing to give us information if we asked.
I recommend this place to couples, adults and families, they have a great family suite.

We booked our room well in advance as we were taking a well planned month long trip around the east coast. We were warmly welcomed despite making a rather late arrival. The room we were given was clean and comfortable although the en-suite bathroom was rather cramped and there was not much room for putting your toiletries. The breakfast was very good and the home made muffins were delicious. All in all a good b&b although I would definitely advocate updating the bathroom and perhaps thinking about increasing the size of it.

Room Tip: Check on the size of the bathroom if there are two of you.

We have been staying at this wonderful B&B almost annually since 1998. Dan and Nancy make you feel like one of the family. The rooms are comfortable and filled with beautiful antiques. Breakfast is first rate (one of the best around) and consists of a 3 course meal. They start you with a bread (muffin, sticky bun-my favorite) followed by a fresh fruit. For the main course Dan makes pancakes or french toast, but you always get a choice of eggs any style if you want instead. Fresh hot coffee or tea, cold cereal, and yogurt are also available. Yum!! They know the local area very well and can recommend lots of fun things to do.

Room Tip: We love the "Crawford Notch" room. All rooms are named for the notches in New Hampshire.

We booked our room the day we were arriving. We had a beautiful front room with a private bath. It was beautifully decorated and I never noticed the highway traffic despite it being the 4th of July. The innkeepers were friendly and so accompdating - I could have been happy for a week. We were getting up early to hike so missed breakfast but a selection of cereal was out as well as some juice & milk and a coffee maker in the "guest pantry." Great set up. I hope we have to stay up there again because I would stay in a heartbeat.

We have been going to this B&B for YEARS and love it every single time! We use the family "suite" which is perfect for our family of four. The owners are wonderful and very helpful with anything you may need. Breakfast is delicious and cooked to order.

Conveniently located to N. Conway shopping, Storyland, Attitash, Cranmore, Black Mtn and ~1 hour from Sunday River or Santa's Village.

Our family has been staying at the Covered Bridge House for a long weekend each winter for at least five years. The family "suite" is perfect for our family with two boys (now a teen and preteen) - connecting rooms with a queen and two twins. The bath across the hall is actually better for our family than having to traipse through one of the rooms to a bathroom. This room is a great value when you consider that you'd need two separate rooms at most B&Bs. There are not very many B&Bs that provide good options for families. We've looked in the other rooms and they all look attractive and comfortable.

The hosts, Nancy and Dan, are what make this B&B special. They are upbeat and friendly, but also give you space. They really seem to enjoy what they do. We've had the experience with some other innkeepers in which they complained about their workload or the cost of running their business, which ruins the feeling of being pampered. Not so here - Dan and Nancy make us feel genuinely welcome. They're helpful with dining out and things to do and have printed weather and ski reports to help us choose among options.

We love the cooked breakfasts. They are indulgent compared to home, but not endless options where you want to have some of everything and then can't move! Perfect for our active ski days. Lighter options such as fruit, yogurt, and cereal are available as well. The guest pantry offers coffee, tea, and cocoa in the afternoons and evenings as well as a fridge, glassware, etc. if you bring your own wine or snacks.

The common room provides a place to mingle with other guests. We've even run into the same folks from year to year. Nancy puts out a puzzle each year and has remembered which ones we've done before. Both innkeepers engage our kids in conversation and listen to them. When the kids were younger, they didn't mind if the kids came down to work on the puzzle while we parents got a little more sleep.

Overall, we feel that the Covered Bridge House offers the best of what we look for in a B&B: some social interaction with hosts and other guests, yummy breakfasts, a comfortable room, and reasonable value.
