“Fantastic in every way”

My wife and I stayed here with another couple for the annual Ghosts and Goblins Trail. Dan and Nancy, the owners were amazingly hospitable, making sure to make us feel as welcome as possible. The rooms were super comfortable and ultra clean. The food in the morning was also superb. I can say that I would stay - and most likely will - stay there again in the future. I would recommend them without hestiation.

We stayed here for one night and found it ideal for our needs. Owners were friendly and the breakfast was very nice with tea, as well as coffee, available. There's a room with a tv for guests to use. Bedrooms were nicely furnished and a reasonable size. The covered bridge which has been converted into a shop is quaint. There were roadworks outside but starting and finishing times for the work meant there was no noise intrusion. Ideal location for the shopping outlet at North Conway and travelling to the White Mountains.

We had two nights here. Our room was delightful – cat themed - decorated with cat pictures, ornaments, wallpaper, etc. The room was large and immaculately clean, as was the bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Although a bridge was being built nearby, the rooms were amazingly quiet.

Dan and Nancy were polite and welcoming. We had a large cooked breakfast - delicious french toast our first morning and light fluffy pancakes the next morning plus home-baked cakes as well. Their recommended restaurant for dinner was the Red Parka which we can recommend also. Good food and not too expensive.

The guest living room was very comfortable and had loads of books, boxed games, a chess set and jigsaws, etc – also surprisingly, a piano. At the back of the house, they have a pretty back garden with a stream running behind it.

Dont miss the Franconia Notch flume gorge – it was awesome!

Would definitely stay here again!

I highly recommend this B&B. The room was lovely and the breakfast huge and delicious. I wish we had more time there because they have intertubes and you can float down the river. It is a beautiful setting. The hosts recommended a wonderful place to eat dinner - The Lobster Trap and they even gave us a discount coupon.

We stayed here one night during our recent tour of New England. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good. The shower had enough room to move around in and the shower head was placed so that water could hit your body properly. Nancy was very friendly and made you feel welcome. Great value!

We stayed at Covered Bridge House in the summers of 2004 and 2006 with our three young children (ages 6, 3, and 1 during our 2006 visit). The owners were so welcoming and friendly - especially to our children. The rooms are incredibly clean and beautifully decorated, and the delicious breakfast is not to be missed! The kids loved playing on the swingset in the backyard, and we enjoyed the lovely stream behind the house and the incredible gift shop in the covered bridge next door. We will definitely return the next time we are in NH!

The Inn itself was fine, but we felt like we were intruding in someone's home...as if we were unwelcome guests.

My 2.5 year old found the guest book and scribbled slightly in it before I could stop him. I thought it would not be a problem, that we would sign and write our comments in the area where he had scribbled so as not to waste any space in the book and it would be like his signature of approval, too. The innkeeper was not amused (though her husband seemed much more friendly and at ease with his guests of all ages). We were chastised and the book was removed and not returned for the duration of our stay. My husband especially was so upset we almost left. However, we decided to stick it out, though we were quite uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay.

The rooms are small, but quaint. The full breakfast was delicious. In general, this was a good deal for an individual or couple, but I do not recommend it for anyone with young children.
