First, we were checked in by Aurora the front desk pup- 5 stars to start.
Our room was clean and well appointed. The wall decor was kind of tacky, but that is on the decorators, not that actual hotel so I won't hold that against them. There was an issue with our TV and it was fixed immediately. The staff was friendly every time we saw them. We didn't eat the breakfast but it looked fine. All in all, it was a great stay at a very nice limited service hotel.

By Marriott standards this was a decent hotel. The morning breakfast was good and complimentary with eggs, sausage, muffins, bagels, fruit, cereal, etc. The location if you're going to Gunstock is terrific. It is an easy and straight 8 minute drive to the mountain. My bed in room 321 was a little lumpy and seemed dated. The hallways needed vacuuming especially in front of the elevator on the third floor. There is no door between the bathroom sink and vanity and the bedroom. This is a problem because it is a nuisance when someone is using the sink or blowdryer and someone else is trying to sleep. The temperature control was fantastic and easy to use. Often times you have difficulty getting the right temperature; this was not the case in this room. The room came with a microwave and refrigerator along with dishes and utensils. A large table was also in the unit. The unit was comfortable. I would stay their again if I was going to Soulfest or Gunstock for skiing.

We stayed here one night while taking advantage of the summer activities at Gunstock, which was just a short drive away. The hotel was a great choice. It was modern and extremely clean -- everything was in great condition. The room size was perfect for a family of four. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Just a note that there is an indoor pool, but it is small, so it might not be a good fit if your kids are pool-maniacs. We would come back if we were in the area again.

This is the second year we have come up to bring my dog to a quiet area and away from fireworks on the 4th of July. This place is wonderful. The staff are very helpful and are so sweet to the dogs that come by their way. Joe, the groundskeeper is very friendly and does a wonderful job keeping the area looking great. He is always helpful and nice to chat with. There was a loud party going on outside in the bbq area and I talked to the front staff person who immediately went out to have them leave the area. There are no fireworks around the hotel so very safe for a scared puppy too. We will be back again for sure.
