“All Round B & B”

It's all here, the perfect B & B! The innkeepers Sandi & Fred make you feel so comfortable & at home with a little help from one of the most obedient, friendliest dog -- just one look & Moonie melts your heart. The rooms are so spacious, clean & comfortable with all the thoughtfull little extras that make your stay enjoyable. There's not enough space to describe the supreme breakfasts that Fred & Sandi whip up. What to do? Sandi & Fred are great references. Make the Atwood Inn your base & there's some great day trips in every direction, including Boston. The countryside around Franklin is extremely scenic. Try the Atwood Inn & I guarantee it'll be the beginning of a wonderful getaway.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary with a stay at a romantic B&B. We like old world charm, with modern conveniences of course, and that’s exactly what we found. Our room was gorgeous, spacious and had a working fireplace. It felt like we stepped back in time to 1825. Breakfast was extra delicious and Sandi and Fred found the time to sit down with us as we asked questions about the history of the house. We only wish we had more reasons to visit NH so we could stay there again. I researched all local B&B’s, and Maria Atwood is truly special, a B&B we’ll remember forever. Pat & Jane

My friend and I shared the twin bedded Pemigewasset Room recently and could not have been more comfortable. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and every care taken to make us feel at home. Sandi and Fred were the most gracious and kind hosts who went out of their way to do everything to making our stay a special one - and it most certainly was. For example, upon hearing of my Scottish heritage, Fred even made me porridge for breakfast one morning ! Such personal service isn't often to be found. We loved this beautiful house - and its owners - and cannot recommend it highly enough.

We were made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. Sandi and Fred are wonderful hosts, aided and abetted by Moonie their gorgeous Setter! The furnishings help to reflect the history of the house and none the worse for that.
The shower in the bathroom was a very tight fit, but the bed was very comfortable, and the room very inviting. Breakfasts around the large table were very pleasant and Sandi's scones are to die for! Fred is a great raconteur, and had everyone in stitches with his story about the stuffed cockerel! This place deserves the highest recommendation.

Sandi and Fred made us feel at home at once, and Moonie the dog was the greatest host ever!
The bathroom shower was a bit of a challenge for anyone over 100lbs, but the room was cozy and comfortable, and tea, coffee and Sandi's scrumptious scones were available at any time. Fred is a natural story-teller, and had us roaring with laughter with the chicken story! Would definitely recommend this place.

We have stayed at the Maria Atwood Inn on two separate occasions and have loved both of them. Sandi and Fred are amazing inn keepers. Every transaction-- from making reservation to saying goodbye-- is simple and sweet and thoughtful. The rooms here are adorable-- cozy and spacious. The house is welcoming. The breakfasts are memorable-- fresh fruit, hot scones and eggs and ham is a typical breakfast. Here is so very different from the normal hotel. "Just help yourself to a beer or whatever you want" says Sandi-- "...and there is no charge." They will help you find the best spot to eat in town and plan your walk to you enjoy it. In a day or so, you will feel revived and relaxed. Free internet and free long distance calling is also included. They will sit at breakfast with you for the sheer pleasure of getting to know their guests. It is a lovely place to stay, a special spot.

This B&B was a great find. The room felt like home and the back deck was a nice place to relax. The gas grill came in quite handy. We were heading to Meadowbrook for a concert and this allowed us to relax before the show and not fight the restaurant crowds. A real plus in our book. The breakfast was delicious and the scones were great. I would highly recommend a stay at this inn.
