“Service above and beyond”

I saw a few bad reviews on this site and I'd like to remind them you get what you pay for. Finding a comfortable room very near all the tourist sites with a pool, hot tub, etc. that is under $100 dollars is hard. As far as cleanliness, I will admit that the bathroom in our initial room was not cleaned properly. But once we mentioned it to the desk, they immediately gave us another room, which was very clean and comfortable.

But what made me write this review today was the exceptionally friendly staff at the hotel. They went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and make us feel welcome. Special thanks to the late evening and early morning reception staff, who really showed me what small town hospitality is like.

This hotel is a good value for the price and location. There's nothing unique about it, but the whole place is clean and well maintained, the breakfast is a standard Best Western one; the breakfast room is small and when we went in was very crowded, but later on there was hardly anyone there so we must have hit the rush hour. The location is stunning, with great mountain views, and we found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful.

Overall this hotel has many strikes against it! Service was poor, rooms small and very expensive, room we had needed repairs in bathroom, view window was filthy. Breakfast area small and breakfast offerings limited. Next time to the area will look for other accomodations.

Believe all the poor reports on this hotel!
We are not usually picky, and like others have stayed in many 3rd world places, but this is probably one of the worst "hotels" I have stayed!
Unsure where to start - overpowering air freshner smell should have alerted us to the problems, but we had no time to hunt elsewhere. Unfortunately we had pre-paid 2 nights, but if there was anywhere else around I would have moved.
Corridors were badly in need of refurbishment - carpets were worn & dirty, walls were scraped -presumably by cases -down to the plaster board etc. Our room had dark coloured carpet, so unsure of the state of that, but there was graffiti etched into the window sill and I had to clean the sink myself before use. As previously mentioned re noise, I asked if our room was a "mountain view". It was not - overlooking the (very close) car park on 1st floor and next to the lobby. Managed to move to a pet friendly(!) room which was a better position (still on ground floor) and all this despite booking 7 months previously! Sheets on the bed were itchy and paper thin..
Internet was not working, but to her credit the girl behind the desk managed to get it sorted for our 2nd night. Restaurant was closed and looked like it had been for some time.
Breakfast - cereal bowls (polystyrene) were the size of a cup, breakfast area very tight so that chairs could not be pulled in/out if someone was sitting on next table ..
Just don't go! This hotel - if you can call it that - left a poor impression of what was actually a beautiful area.

What I've come to expect from Best Western - modern, clean, good standard service in spacious rooms. Free breakfast area is a bit cramped and to be honest breakfast could be improved - but it is free! Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a bare-bones, overpriced, facility with no attention to cleanliness. I could overlook the lack of luggage carts and an elevator in a less expensive venue, but not at the price we paid. There was hair on the bedsheet, the floor had not been evenly vacuumed, if at all, leaving dust bunnies and dirt beside the nightstand. The toilet had not been cleaned to any degree, with dirt, hair, and what appeared to be dried human blood and excrement widely distributed on the underside of the seat. When we returned the following night, the toilet had still not been cleaned, although housekeeping had been there. I've stayed in my share of third world hotels, and I can tolerate a degree of grunge, but this was really not OK.

We checked in at 4:00P.M to the hotel and found that the toilet sink was clogged. We immediately reported this problem and were told that the maintenance guys would look into it. We left the hotel in sometime and returned at around 10:00P.M, only to find that nothing was done. The receptionist very casually mentioned that this was a known problem and will not be fixed. They called the maintenance guy again and he said that the owner was aware of this a day before and he had asked the owner not to allocate this room to anyone. We had to manage with an extremely dirty sink. I have never faced this kind of pathetic service in any hotel. Even on being aware of such an issue, they still went ahead and alloted and room to us and sat on it, inspite of our complaint.
